Author has written 2 stories for Ironman, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and RWBY. Hello all, this is Nacoma23! I just joined and am ready to start writing stories (Of which I have many in mind). Things about myself: I love writing, drawing, reading. I think of myself as being something of a pop culture connoisseur, being a fan of various forms of modern entertainment: comics, manga, television (Domestic and international), Film (same as television), books (read of a lot of H.G. Wells and Jules Verne as a kid) music (everything but country, barring a few exceptions in that genre), musical theatre (yes, I spelled it like that, because that's how much I love it), and video games. I do have some classical tastes though, as I sometimes listen to classical theater and reading up on the culture and history of different countries ( I especially love the cultures of England, Mexico, Japan, China, and Spain). Now, first I have to state this: I may want to write stories, but I also have a life outside of that. I'm attending college, so my focus has to be on learning 90% of the time. the other ten percent is dedicated to finding work, keeping myself fed, and just generally trying to improve myself as a writer. I do have rules for myself as a writer: 1.) Always be respectful of other writers, even if they aren't in turn. 2.) Respect your audience, even when they talk smack about your story or your writing. (I just try not being a dick to people) 3.) Always be aware of your strengths as a writer, but improve where you're lacking in others. 4.) Have fun. Once you stop having fun when writing, then your stories suffer. What I won't write: 1.) Harems Reason: Sorry, but I find them unrealistic and they make romance too complicated than it already is. I just stick with the standard one love interest or love triangles (Why triangles? because people love drama). Plus I just don't like them. 2.) Bashing Reason: I just think it's petty. I know they're fictional characters, but you don't have to write stories specifically designed to make a character you hate suffer. I'm a firm believer in the idea of "don't make it worse, make it better" (Being that if they are poorly written characters, just write them better. Professionals do it all the time, unless the characters were written specifically to be hated; for example, Joffrey Lannister.) Also, Bashing defeats the basic idea of Fanfiction being "if you want something done right, do it yourself". 3.) Horror Reason: It's not that I hate the genre, I just don't think I'm capable of writing one. That's pretty much it when it comes to what I won't write. And now for something completely different. Ongoing Stories: The Invincible Whitley Schnee Preview Quote: "I never asked to be a hero, but I'll do my best to be one!" Synopsis: Whitley Schnee wanted respect, which is why he sought the family fortune. He lived only for himself, and never for others. A fatal trip to Mistral changes everything. Trapped on the edge of an endless game, his teenaged life will never be the same. With armor of high-tech ammunition, he will fight the corruption of the world, and learn what it means to be a hero. He is Iron Man. Upcoming Stories: Vengeance and Justice (Code Geass/ DC Superheroes) Preview Quote: "A Batman? Seriously, Tamaki, what the hell have you been drinking?" Synopsis: There is an urban myth in Tokyo Settlement. For the past year, there have been sightings of a giant bat stalking criminals. This Batman, as he is called, does not distinguish his prey between Britannians or Elevens: If they mean harm to the innocent, they will face his judgment, regardless of status. In a land marred by chaos and injustice, one man's thirst for vengeance shall become justice for others. That man's name is Bruce Wayne. To the world at large, he is nothing but an irresponsible playboy billionaire, but he is more than they believe: He is vengeance. He is the night. He is Batman. Vindicated (MHA/ Spider-Man) Preview Quote: "A spider bite gave me abs?" Synopsis: Yu Komori has been dealt a bad hand in life. He is powerless in a superhuman society. He is smart, but has very few friends. He is an orphan and quirkless. Thankfully, he had his Aunt and Uncle to raise him. But after a fateful school trip, he gains amazing abilities from a spider's bite, and when tragedy strikes, the young man learns the hard way that with these great powers, there must also come great responsibility. Yu is not a hero and he doesn't consider himself a vigilante; He's just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man | |||||||
