Or, so she thinks... until her reserved, yet receptive master Lord Edward Cullen takes interest in her.

Changed in Phoenix, Bella runs from her new horrific nature. She makes her way up the west coast, finally stopping in Alaska. The Denali coven find her, and take her under their wing. She starts to feel normal until a visit from their long time friends turns her world upside down; the Cullens.

"I'll destroy her," rings in his ears and he's shocked by how shamed he is he ever said those words. He'd meant them, oh how he'd meant them. He'd been lost to his rage and he'd thought he could … he knows now that he could never hurt her. Kylo struggles with Rey's rejection and a new threat pushes them together again.

When he made her that offer it felt like an eclipse; the moon temporarily obscuring the radiance of the sun. But she could still see light encircling the shadowed orb. It gave her hope. She had come here to save Ben Solo. And that's what she would do. As her fingertips grazed his gloved ones she knew how much he wanted to prove to her she belonged at his side…

Rey is a prisoner on Star Killer Base and even though she knows she should be afraid of Kylo Ren, she feels safe in his presence. At the same time, Kylo Ren cannot suppress the attraction and protectiveness he feels towards Rey. Kylo Ren, recovering, retrained, and bolstered by the Dark Side thanks to Snoke, is still obsessed with his failures and the scavenger that got away. Carving a furious path through the First Order fleet and throwing everything away, he hones in almost desperately on her location as she runs from his whispers until there is nothing left but them.

When Kylo Ren abducted Rey on Takodana, he had solely been seeking the map to Luke Skywalker from her. But once he felt Rey's connection to the Force, and learned of her ability to quell the war between dark and light within him – he knew there would be no letting her go so easily.
