So far the Doctor and Clara have gone to Rome, had a picnic in the park, made a date for the theatre, and ended up on an ocean rig on their way to 1920's Paris. "Honestly - if all I'd needed to do was get sprayed by a giant carnivorous plant, I would've done a long time ago." He froze, arms around her back. "I've taken your clothes off plenty of times," he muttered defensively. "Yeah, but...not like this." Sequel to "The Other Has My Heart."

After an argument with Clara, the Doctor decides to take a trip alone to prove to his companion that he can still manage on his own. He accidentally ends up in the American South in the 1960s, where he meets an echo of Clara who is about as fed up with her life as a housewife as a person can get.

"The Doctor emerges from the crack with a huff and a skid, nearly falling over before his gangly muscles straighten and steady in that impossible way. Clara raises an eyebrow, having expected something a little more dramatic and, well, instantaneous than this simple return." A sliver of a moment between Clara and the Doctor during "Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS."

The Doctor goes back to the library after Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS; clara/eleven one-shot; What he meant to say, what he knew he really meant, was that every single day he loved her.
