Rin had always been a good student. That was why he didn't understand how he had managed to forget the work he had to hand in next morning.

"We fight a lot." / "We make up a lot, too."

It was all Nagisa's fault.

Haruka hadn't expected to find Rin asleep in his flat.

It's nearly 2:30 a.m. when a phone call wakes Sousuke up. It's nearly 2:30 a.m. and Sousuke really should sleep. But Sousuke doesn't sleep, because it's nearly 2:30 a.m. and Kisumi is crying.

In which Sousuke keeps having doubts even now, Rin doesn't really help and Kisumi overhears what he's been trying to avoid for too long.

Defeated and maimed, Sousuke comes back to his hometown earlier than he would have wanted. He would have never expected he would find the boy he spent four summers with again after all this time, but letting Kisumi in is painfully easy. As if by magic.

Haruka meets him where the sea kisses the sand, where waves recoil leaving a trace of foam. He looks at Rin because it would be impossible not to, because there is fire in his eyes and blood in his hair. But Rin is burning and shining like a new star in the sky, and he doesn't stop to notice Haruka.
