I consider myself to be hilarious, but that's just me... most of the time everyone around me tells me otherwise (Through stifled smiles). I have an imagination that runs in movie mode non-stop. I'm often asked how I get the inspiration and ideas for the stories that I write, it's a difficult question to answer. I try to put a little of myself into each of my characters, so instead of putting myself in a characters shoes (As I would if i were reading,) I make my characters do what I feel I would do in any given situation. I also find that good music motivates and inspires me to write. I can't help but have little movies playing out in my mind when I listen to music.

I had a pretty tumultuous adolescence, not overly stressful, but probably crazier than average. I tended to have the strangest dreams and nightmares during this time. To this day, some of my dreams are far more violent and graphic than my bunny-loving hello kitty smooching self would like them to be, but alas, many of them serve as reference points for certain stories, like Only in My Dreams. Of course, reality also contributes greatly to my work. When I moved house a few years ago, I found myself living closer to the beach, and that set the scene for my story Mystery Girl. Much of the day-to-day dialogue in the stories or funny one-liners may come from conversations I've had recently or even things I've thought to say afterwards... so maybe I am a little funny after all.

In reality, I'm far too critical of my own work to ever become a real writer. I'll probably never end up taking that risk. I don't take well to harsh criticism. So although I love to write and wish to one day create a story worth publishing, it might still be a while before I achieve that goal. In the mean time I've completed my Psychology degree and am undergoing my Master in Mental Health, in hopes to fulfill my dream of making a difference in this world and to help make it a better place.
