Four have passed since I've done any real updates on any of my fics.
It was never my intention to abandon my posts. I could never really. They wouldn't let me.
(((I speak of them as though they are seperate from me because, yes, I could never quite block them when they hammered at my skull and demanded to be set free. They flit around snagging any bits and pieces of my psyche that could fit into the weave of their tales. It has never been something I could control, nor would I want to.)))
I truly enjoyed getting inpiration from the most unlikely places: a trip across town on the bus, the smell of the chinese restaurant on the corner, or the sound of a strange laugh. Unfortunately for me, I have never been good with forcing thoughts into words; typing a single page of dialogue might take a week of hair pulling frustration, often resulting in repeated jabs at the delete button.

Four years really is a long time and so many things about myself are different. Though many things are the same.

J.K. is still one of my favorite authors. How could it be otherwise? But as literature, fiction as well as non-, is, and always will be a rather large part of my life I could never, for certain, name an absolute favorite. My moods are fickle and my preferences even more so.
I will, however, state some of my most recent favs:
"Poison Study" and its sequel, by Marie V Snyder. I actualy bought it, read a chapter or two, set it aside for a year and, after recently picking it up again during a bought of boredom, couldn't put it down. I am now currently reading through its sequel, which so far seems more like a bridge to the third instalment. Perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised.
"Twilight" and "New Moon" by Stephenie Meyer. LOVE, love, love! A new look on vampires and then, on lycanthropy. I can't say it enough... love.
"The DaVinci Code" by Dan Brown is fanatstic and gripping.
"Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte will always be an all time favorite and am just waiting for them to make a really worthy film adaptation.

Movies. I watch everything, though mostly I draw the line at the horrible scifi "B" movies. (My dad loves them... "intergalactic, voltage devouring creature"s, black planets, spaceships and all.)

Television is not something I watch a lot of. It really helps if you have cable which I don't. In spite of this with the Tv on DVD I've really got into Grey's Anatomy, and am totaly bummed that I have to wait for season three to come to DVD in a whole YEAR! (Oh well, you'll be happy to note that that will just leave me with more time to work on finishing up PtbB! See below.)

Music is the one thing I could never write a single thing without. For me its not always the lyrics in a song, but the singer's voice and the way words are woven in to create a feeling that sort of hovers in the air. A random chorus can create a whole new story and numerous plot ideas for me.
For example, "Promise to be Bad" I could only write while I listened to Savage Garden's "Santa Monica" (that whole album, really), which has absolutely nothing to do with any of the story.
I'll listen to anything. From Classical, to Oldies, Rock, Pop, and '80s; Instruments, Celtic, Blues, and Jazz. Oh, and Country.
Anna Nalick is what I'm actually listening to right now.

I could go on and on about everything that I like and how it motivates me to write but what I really want to say is this...

Nothing motivates me like a review.
Good or bad, though good is always better.

I'm going to go on with "Promise to be Bad", after an extensive rewrite.
My plan in to have longer and more in-depth chapters. This wasn't supposed to be a fluffy fic; perhaps this was the reason I stopped. There is going to be at least twenty-five chapters each detailing a single month out of the life of Lily. How she gets through her final year, the fun, the tears, and the angst. And then beyond.
Updates won't start until December(is my goal) and, depending on how much is written in advance will, hopefully, be every two weeks.

Of my other fics, only "Phoenix Tears" might go on, though my ships have changed.

Their are several plot bunnies hopping through my mind right now, but until PtbB is under way, nothing will make an appearance. Not in Harry Potter or my other favorite fantasy world: Labyrinth; of which I have three persistant and very impatient tales to be told.
