Hey! I'm Emile (pronounced like em-eel not like em-il-ee) AKA bassplayingpug. I'm currently only 15 and while I'm not the best writer, I try very hard, and in the end I think that's what's important.

I like Steven Universe, Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, and a few animes (especially Ouran High School Host Club, and Death Note). My hobbies include playing bass guitar (hence the username), playing with my dogs (none of which are pugs :( ), reading, writing, and absolutely dunking on Thomas Jefferson.

For the record I'm gender fluid and use they/them/theirs or he/him/his pronouns. She/her/hers pronouns just make my skin crawl. I'm asexual, biromantic, and (admittedly) mentally ill. This sometimes creeps it's way into my writing where straight and cis characters are rare and many characters are coded as mentally ill. I do have a slight downfall in recognizing what things are normal for others to experience and what is just happening with me. For example I used to think everyone had panic attacks and that people saying they enjoy sex is a joke!

I'm currently also working on a high fantasy novel revolving around a group of five queer kids trying to escape their pasts and stop a tyrant while dealing with fighting vampires, helping dragons, hitting on lesbian warlords, and trying to find something to eat in the middle of no where (seriously why is this never a problem in fantasy novels?) The orcs aren't just evil, the women are powerful, the elves are dynamic and not-holy or ethereal, the dragons aren't European, and the gods are a bunch of bickering teenage immortals!
