Starting her new teaching job with her best friend Raoul, Christine unwittingly befriends one of her students, whose Uncle has graciously offered to give her voice lessons so she may audition for the Opera Guild's production of 'Wicked.' All is not as it seems however when Christine's generosity and trusting nature seems to have endangered her life. But is the fault all her own?

Christine Daaé is a talented, brainy (and somewhat oblivious) junior in high school. In her diary, she chronicles, among other things, her relationship with Raoul, and the mood swings of her strange music theory teacher, Mr. Destler.
