Both Shepard and Alenko refuse to make promises they can't keep, even as the final battle against the Reapers looms on the horizon of an already broken Earth. Commander Elizabeth Shepard has saved so many people throughout her career, and now, as everything comes to a head, her friends will gather together to save her...(altered ME3 EC DLC and LeviathanDLC brief mention.)

The success of an undertaking is not determined by its necessity. The Lazarus Project was never likely to succeed.

The Warden has died, and Alistair attends her funeral. He reflects on their past, and realizes he made the wrong decision.

Visions of a past life and abuse from his former master cause Fenris to walk away from Hawke after their one blissful night together, unable to open up to her about his past. Guilt-ridden, Fenris wishes he were brave enough to ask for her forgiveness, but worries for her safety should Danarius return. His fear is well placed, as the final confrontation goes horribly wrong.

After his lover sacrificed herself to the Archdemon, Alistair fell into a deep depression. On the Warden's grave, he expresses his guilt and depression that he could not save her by sacrificing himself, and makes a promise to remember her as king.
