May 2013 - I have officially decided to leave the Twilight realm. Perhaps I may be back. Perhaps not. All stories are on hold indefinitely; however I may end up rewriting "Love At Second Sight" as an original story. And I know a lot of my profile stuff is outdated/stupid-looking and unsuited for my current personality, but frankly I can't bring myself to care. Hugs, though!

August 2012 - I took the time to type out a giant message of advice to you. You might as well take it seriously. If I don't know what I'm talking about, why talk about it? You can read my stories and see the one I wrote as a 14-year-old... don't you think I wasn't a terrible writer? -_-

April 2012 - Yes, I do read all of your private messages and review replies :) I just don't feel obligated to respond to them since I read them directly out of my email and I'm too lazy to open FFn. BUT if you wish to have a response, let me know and I'll respond. If I have something to say, I'll respond. :)

January 2012. Hi, I'm still alive. If you PM me I will reply. I haven't responded to reviews in a while, sorry about that. TCRT is on indefinite hiatus... I'm no longer into it. I've also started creating my own worlds and stories, so I don't write much fanfiction anymore... though I would love to. I don't know, though. Maybe I should use some of the ideas in that huge list below.

Therefore, it makes sense to call me Kiki. Actually, that's what I go by. Online at least. Kiki C. I don't like seeing it as Kiki Chu.
I'm a Wrimo. I participated (and won) Nanowrimo 2011, and participated (not won... Yet) in JanNoWriMo. In life, I plan to become a full-time writer or a translator.
I live in Southern California, in the city called Here. I'm old enough to write in sentences instead of chatspeak when I'm talking to people. Okay, old enough to be a sophomore in high school at the moment. I really enjoy this year's English class.

I'm a total music freak, and a Grammar Nazi, if you'll forgive the term. My Pandora station pretty much explains my music preferences - ranging from Lifehouse to Paramore, to Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. I do, however, hate Pachelbel's Canon (and yes, I do have a thing against it.)

You probably don't know that I've never had a real boyfriend, and have never been in love, and yet, my NaNovel is about a couple who meets up after a song brings them back together and they rekindle their relationship. Yeah, I watch (and read) too many romances.

At school, I suppose you could call me one of the 'academic elite' because I'm in Honors and AP classes (though my grades sometimes drop to a B instead of an A.) But just because I'm one of the elite doesn't mean I stomp them. :)

Why I write: I write because I want to. I write because I have too many ideas, because I'll probably be dead before all of my ideas are fully written out. I write because it's a haven, an escape from the blindingly harsh realities of life. I write because I suck at having my thoughts come out of my mouth, so they must come out of my fingers. And also, I write because, like many other authors, hope to get lucky and get published, get a movie with their book, get listed on the New York Times list, make it rich, and then spend the rest of their lives eating ice cream. Or writing even more books. Something like that. Admit it, it would be nice if it happened to you, right?

On Twilight: Okay, Bella is a Mary-Sue. But if you know what I mean, let me explain. Twilight is a confrontation between my writer self and my sappy love story addict teenager self. That is why I still like it, but as a writer, I believe Twilight is a horrible piece of writing. But as a teenager, I really enjoy the kind of love that Edward and Bella have together, because I believe that it is hard to stumble upon that kind of devotion in real life.

Please do not take my work and post it on other sites without my permission; if you would like my work posted on another site, please message me and I will be happy to post it under my own account. Thank you. Please do not steal my work. You may use my stories as an inspiration, but do not steal. Please ask before you translate, all in all, as a general rule please ask before you do anything regarding my work. I'd really appreciate it.

My Stories:

The Cullens Read Twilight: This story has a slow posting rate due to the fact that I need the book to actually write this. I'm looking for a beta. It's currently on hiatus however... indefinitely, possibly hanging on the edge of discontinuation.

Tree for Eternity: Complete, but possibly continuing. Will probably change description to add that it actually isn't a tree and will probably change name to Started With A Tree or Nymph of the Forest. Thanks to Hanora for asking me to continue and for giving me inspiration. (But if I don't hear from her, I'm not going to continue...)

One Day You May See: I wrote this song, and one day decided to randomly associate it with Twilight in whatever way works, even if it's screwed up. Stuck it on Fanfiction and it's just there.

Love At Second Sight: The updates for this story are random, usually whenever Nanowrimo is not happening (or some version of Nano)

Caster Chronicles Fics: If you don't know what the Caster Chronicles are, they're also known as Beautiful Creatures (1st book) and Beautiful Darkness (2nd book). But yes, I'm planning to rewrite from Lena's POV. Girls rule. :) (The CCs are my favorite books. They beat Twilight, but I checked yesterday and there is a pathetic 18 fics. Lame for a NY Times Bestseller...

I don't really like to have several stories going at once. I like to finish them before starting a new one. But if there are any that you want to see written soon, do let me know.

Pet peeves:

I do read any story that you recommend to me, whether or not you wrote it or someone else wrote it, but note this! If you would like me to read your story and/or Beta it, here are some guidelines. If you don't meet at least 70% of these guidelines, then I will not read your story. There are no exceptions. For Beta-ing please attempt to follow at least 20% and I can fix the rest. These are also the basic guidelines to my community as well, so please do read them:

1. Use proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, and overall mechanics. I can't tell you how many times I have not read a story because the spelling and grammar is horrible. Reasonable typos are okay, but please check your work before publishing! Absolutely no chat speak and spell the name Emmett with two T's and two M's! Also the word is "definitely" not "defiantly" as I have seen many, many times. Defiantly is the adverb form of the adjective defiant which comes from the verb "to defy" - meaning to go against something.

2. Use the correct tense. I hate when people don't use the correct tense. Either present, or past tense. I prefer past tense because it's easier to write for me, but stick to the correct tense instead of changing it, please and thank you. Also, commas.

3. Please no author's notes in the middle of your story. Examples include: (A/N: pic on profile) and the like. This can ruin your story and if it is very repetitive I will simply ignore the story.

4. Know the difference between an adjective and an adverb. Know how to properly use them. It bugs me when people write "Edward dry sobbed." The correct way to write this would be "Edward sobbed dryly" or better, "Edward sobbed tearlessly." If you want to make 'dry sobbed' a verb then do "Edward dry-sobbed." Thank you.

5. Follow Fanfiction.Net's Posting Guidelines. You shouldn't be posting if you don't want to follow the rules.

6. Use a thesaurus. Do not use the words said, asked, and replied all the time... however, don't use big words that no one knows about and makes it seem obvious. Use a word that includes more depth. If you don't know how to use a thesaurus, there are many dictionary websites available. Don't use too many adverbs, it's tacky and sometimes unnecessary when merely 'said' is enough... use your judgement. Be more specific than using words such as "it" or "stuff" all the time. But at the same time, do not use big words where said, asked, or the like could easily simplify the sentence.

7. Please no run-on sentences. Use a comma and proper punctuation when necessary. If you don't know how to use a semicolon or where to use a comma, find a beta.

8. Keep it reasonably Canon. Make it Canon enough that you can still tell what fandom it came from. No Mary-Sue OCs and no exceptions. I don't really mind a bit of OOC as long as it's reasonable in the given setting, and AH isn't that bad.

9. No slash or non-canon pairings. This really isn't about you as an author, this is just my personal preference... see below.

10. Absolutely no lemons, extreme lemons (limes), or M-Rated. Please, I'm a minor in high school. I don't appreciate anything polluting young minds - it is my personal philosophy at work.

I tend to ignore fics with chatspeak or poor dialogue punctuation. There are more than enough willing beta-readers out there, you can use them. Thank you very much.
