Together as a family and close friends, they live in the Overworld as best as they can given the circumstances that Frisk left them with after not resetting with the loss of so many people. Saving the world doesn't mean just getting the best ending. It means sacrificing ones life in order to stop a possible reset. But one hard headed skeleton is there to remind us happiness doesn't always come in the forms we expect.

When a mini-boss fight heads south, Sans discovers what it's like not to give up on a promise, and Frisk discovers that you can't bear every burden yourself. Hurt/comfort fluff; Frisk helps an injured Sans. T for Sans, who had to wash out his mouth with soap afterward.
