I'm a reader, not a writer.

I came to this site in search of more stories about Torchwood in general, and Jack and Ianto in specific. I came for the slash, and stayed for the brilliant storytelling.

Torchwood

I love between-the-scenes fic, well thought out fix-it-fic, writers who make Jack and Ianto's voices sing in my ears, and writers who paint strong, brilliant pictures in my head with their words.

Some of my favorite often used phrases in fanfic are from the TV shows, books or radio plays that writers have cleverly inserted because they make sense in their stories. "F*ck Jack" and "F*ck Ianto" are pretty good too. ;)

The phrases used in fanfic that are most likely to make my eyes roll have anything to do with tongues battling for dominance. Oi.

Thanks so much to those of you who share your passion for writing, passion for Torchwood and passion for Jack and Ianto with those of us who don't have the talent to write for ourselves.

Oh, and the only good thing to come out of CoE is some of the absolutely brilliant fix-it-fic that was created to make up for certain creator's short sightedness.

Primeval

I finally got into Primeval fanfic after reading some brilliant Torchwood/Primeval crossovers. I wish there was more of this. If any two universes work well together, it is these two.

Then I found the Primeval Slash. Oh my. More Boy Joy! Favorites are Conner/anyone and Ryan/anyone, but just about any slash works for me. I don't much get into Lester/, but as he becomes more human in the series, I can see the appeal. A well thought out Abby added to a Slash pair makes for good reading, too. :D

I like slash that seeks out hidden sides of the guys. Conner the puppy becomes a bit more self assured, Ryan and Becker have softer sides. Nick and Stephen can pretty much just be themselves.
