In the aftermath of Dearing's attack on NCIS, Tony and Ziva finally let a tragedy bring them closer together. A post-ep for 9x24, resurrected from my In Progress folder. Spoilers from Till Death Do Us Part, but nothing beyond that. So basically AU at this point. Tony/Ziva, elevator flirting and inevitably resolved sexual tension.

Takes place immediately after "Gone".

Tony has her necklace. Ziva has his favorite shirt. There's a long road ahead, but one day their love will bring her home into his waiting arms.

"Miss David, are you planning on staying the night?" It changes over time.

Tony and Ziva's definition of a date differs from Gibbs's idea of what constitutes a date. Lighthearted, fluffy.
