Hello World!!

Yikes, so it's been years since I've logged onto this website. My last update was in 2013, and it's 2019 at the time of writing. Haha! It kind of reminds me of booting up an old copy of 'Animal Crossing: Wild World' and saying hello to old friends, reading stored letters, and rediscovering your old room.

My name is AK, (Altering Kreation), and I was very active on this site back in the day. I grew up in America, but I moved to Ireland in 2013. Honestly, the move and other family reasons was a major sucker punch by life. Just like my breath, the words were gone. My inspiration died. And so did my stories.

So I want to say thank you to everyone who supported my writing, and apologize for being one of those horrible authors that leaves people hanging. I hope time has been good to all of you and that your journeys through this crazy universe have been full of excitement and laughter. Your words of encouragement meant a lot, and they're what's encouraged me to rekindle my passion for writing after all these years. I definitely had some major teenage angst, but now my joy, inspiration, creativity are flaring back to life as I grow into a stronger free-spirited version of myself.

Which brings me to story status:

Day After Yesterday: discontinued

Subject to Torment: discontinued

Breaking the Silence: Active with weekly/bi-weekly updates

I'm leaving my original two stories up. I might go back to them someday, revamp them entirely, or maybe never touch them again. For now, I want a fresh start, but I'll always remember where I've been and who I was. These stories and the voice telling them remind me who I was before sh*t hit the fan and show me how far I've come as a writer. Maybe it's selfish of me to leave them up when I know I probably won't finish them, but it doesn't feel right to take them down either, you know? I hope you understand.

Oh, but I do want to say the covers of 'Day After Yesterday' and 'Subject to Torment' are beautiful works of art by my dear friend Christine. Christine, I haven't seen you in years, you're not on Facebook, and your Tumblr and DeviantArt have been deactivated. I hope life didn't kill your creativity like it did mine, but if it did, I hope you find the strength to embrace your art again. Your talents are a gift, and if somehow you're reading this, please message me!

The 'Breaking the Silence' cover art was done by a friend of mine who isn't on Instagram or DeviantArt (yet). Thank you Charlie!

Thanks for reading, and welcome friends old and new! I'm excited to introduce you all to my imaginary friends and tell you all about their adventures in mystories! I hope you'll stick with me, and I'll do my best to stick with you.
