Damon and Elena have a beautiful little girl, Elizabeth (Ellie), before Damon gets turned into a vampire. Elena's bloodline never should have been created and the Travelers think that Ellie could be the end for their kind. What happens when Damon fights for his family but in the end he's the one that has to make the decision to end Ellie's life or to fight for his daughter's life.

In the struggle to help Elena get her humanity back on and help her through the loss of Jeremy, Damon and Stefan have another struggle. Another girl, but she just so happens to be smaller and a lot more work then the Salvatore brothers bargained for.
