After the longest winter of their lives, Legolas and Gimli - more weary and more damaged than ever before - return to Minas Tirith so that they might continue their interrupted plans with Aragorn. After a disastrous incident in the mountains Elrond's past experience allows him to help Thranduil and Legolas cope with the aftermath.
