When it snows, Fili and Kili often spend the day out playing in the snow, or ice skating on the secluded lake they discovered some years back. One day, however, the fun goes wrong, and the fact no one knows of the lakes location could become a very large problem for the brothers.

When Dis's husband is killed in battle defending Thorin, the royal dwarf is burdened with guilt. He steps in to help his sister raise her young son, Fili.

AU of movieverse. It is many years since tragedy struck the line of Durin when the youngest heir was lost to a pack of orcs. Now Bilbo Baggins, having agreed only to stealing treasure from a dragon, finds himself instead tangled up in a web of tragedy and revenge, and finds that what is lost does not always stay that way.

What is Kili's "orc wound" really? What actually happened? And what happened in between the scenes? I will write about Kili's own storyline and character development throughout the movie. Major hurt!Kili.

Thorin says some hurtful words to Kili and sends him off to find firewood alone where he is attacked by wild wargs. With his nephew close to death, Thorin blames himself and Fili faces his worst nightmare ... could he really lose his little brother?

In which Fili and Kili act like children, assert their independence, talk about serious things and just will NOT go to sleep.
