Three months after Operation Avengers all is well. Or is it? When Steve and Tony hack into SHIELD to find missing weapons shipments they find more than they bargained for in the form of a prisoner who should, by rights, have been sent to Asgard long ago.

They are Silvan and they are dangerous. Travelling to Imladris on a mission for Thranduil, Legolas, or Taú, leads his group under the guise of a simple captain. Cultural differences and age-old prejudice will arise, and the Noldor's perception of the Silvan people will drastically change - but will it be for good or bad? Imladris prepares for uncouth wood-elves…

Five year-old Legolas is captured by orcs and taken to Dol Guldur, where he is given to an assassin to be trained. The Nazgûl underestimated their assassin's new-found hatred of the Enemy however. Their plan backfires when a deadly but good Legolas escapes, hiding from the kin who think him dead and killing orcs from the shadows...

Certainly, the Avengers never thought a year after the devastation in New York they'd be providing safe harbor for the very man they'd fought so hard to defeat. But with an unknown enemy after Loki for knowledge of a deadly weapon, perhaps the old adage, 'Keep friends close and enemies closer' is simply the wisest course of action. Trouble comes to Minas Tirith after the ROTK. Someone is attacking the Elves in the city and Aragorn enlists the aid of old friends only to discover that no one is above suspicion.

Sequel to A Little Nudge Out of the Door. Legolas and Gimli return to Mirkwood after ROTK to face their people's fates in the War, their kins' reactions to their friendship, and a long chain of past events, honors, and wrongs come full circle. COMPLETE!
