![]() Okay, seeing as I've got this account, I may be posting something up here in the near future. We'll see how things go with classes and homework. As for why I'm writing this uninteresting drivel known as a "profile," this is what happens when you're finished with homework and, despite how much you looked forward to being done, have no clue what to do afterward except watch Anime and write this nonsense. Still, I always appreciate my friends having profiles for me to read, so on to the obligatory stuff: Name: Peter Age: 22 Sex: M Location: CA, USA City/e-mail/&c.: If I want you to know, you probably know. Occupation: Full-time college student. Goals: To obtain a Liberal Arts degree (History/Language emphasis) for now. I set no definite career goals because the most important thing to me is the people I want to have in my life. Interests: Anime (see below), retro gaming (RPGs, mainly SFC/PSX), music (creating, listening, & theory), Classical/Medieval history, language (German & Latin mainly, some Spanish, & I'd like to learn Japanese at some point), philosophy, poetry (Byron, Emerson) good literature, and firearms/crossbows - mainly recreational, as I hope never to have to shoot anyone. I also like fine beer and wine, although I pride myself on never once having been drunk. Anime: To me, a good anime has to have a deep plot, interesting characters, and most importantly, have a purpose, such as illustrating or symbolizing a principle (Love, loyalty, honour, and the like). While I'll watch some of the popular sci-fi & samurai stuff, and really enjoy some of it, my tastes are much less 'masculine' than most guys' - I'm one of those guys who watched (dubbed) and still watches (subbed) Sailor Moon. I do love a good romance (so long as its got depth - tragedies or near-tragedies are the best), and some shoujo. Oh yes, and I tend only to watch Anime subtitled; even a good dub is not the original format, and censorship is nearly always worse in a dub. |
