7/29/19 -- I am . . . still alive! Geez. I'm a semi-professionial writer these days (I have a normal full-time job, but I've managed to get paid for a handful of poems and short stories here and there), so my interest in fanfiction has been minimal. Also, gender transition is time-consuming/stressful. I've been thinking about this place more and more lately, though, as it's basically where I learned to write coherently.

If you don't know me from the old days: from like 2012 to 2015 I wrote some moderately popular fics, most of them crossovers. I went back through them recently and realized I don't want them to represent who I am, so I deleted them. I was in a difficult place with a lot of things back then, and in those fics I express some ideas I'm not comfortable with anymore.

That's why I'm back on here, on a temporary basis, to post Transgender Dysphoria Blues. Reading/writing genderbender fiction (if you're looking for my seven-year-old genderbender trash: I deleted it a long time ago) helped me get a grasp on who I was when I was in high school, and while I'm grateful for that, I've been wanting to write the sort of fic that would've really helped me out when I was a flailing kid who didn't understand her own brain.
