About me

My name is Matthew Richards. I am a 21 year old aspiring author/actor from the United Kingdom. I currently live in Newcastle where I am working to pay my way through my last year of University. Ever since I was a young boy I have been obsessed with all things fantasy, which as you may be able to guess, it didn't make me that much popular. That added to the fact that I am gay made for a harsh childhood. But the many fantasy novels I read and rpg games I played helped me get through the dark times. One certain game shaped me to be the guy I am today and that is Pokemon. Yes, I know it sounds a little odd but Pokemon got me through some hard times. I first got Pokemon Red when I was 5 and honestly I had no clue what I was doing, I spent most of my time running around in circles haha.

But as I got older I started to learn more about the game and these virtual creatures became more than just a game, they became a part of my family. I would just escape into my Pokemon adventure whenevere times got tough and for just a few hours I would forget about the pain I felt in the real world. The Pokemon games, anime and manga opened up an all new social life for me. I found chat rooms where I met and made friends with tons of other Pokemon fans and I finally felt like I belonged to something. It was these people that persuaded me to pursue my acting, which is a love of mine that I hid deep down, locked away. I have written small Pokemon fan fics growing up but have only recently started looking at it as a possible future for myself.

I am kind of an anime fan, not as hardcore as others, but I do enjoy quite a few of them. Some of these include Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, Log horizon and Seraph of the End just to name a few.

Rated: T - for mild language and dark themes.

Description: New trainer Jake Bass sets off on his journey around Kanto in hopes of entering the Indigo League. Along the way he will meet new people, make new friends and create memories that will last a lifetime. But something dark is creeping under the surface of the Kanto region, something that if it rises, will wreak havoc across the entire world.
