This story picks up a few weeks after the season 2 finale of The Originals. Hurt and angry for all the things Klaus did in the defeat of Dahlia, Elijah calls in an old marker from Giles, who sends Buffy into New Orleans to rein in Klaus, who seems to have little remorse for the people he's hurt. Buffy finds herself intrigued by the family and very attracted to Elijah.
