Currently Watching: This is always hopelessly out of date when I don't change my profile for months at a time. Needless to say, I try to follow a couple of different series per season.

All Time Favs: UC Gundam (so much history), Bleach, YYH, Black Lagoon, Hellsing, Initial D, and anything Type-Moon. I'm also a sucker for cheap, poorly written battle harem shows despite the fact that they're generally all the same. I know, my taste is abysmal.

Pairings I like

The more obscure the better. I like people who dare to do something different, grab a world by the balls, and write something fresh.

I'm not against yaoi and yuri pairings, I'm just not into them.

Things that will generally cause me to skip over reading your story when browsing.

1. Title is misspelled or incorrectly capitalized

2. Bad description, including bad grammar in the description. This is your first impression, and if I notice multiple mistakes I won't even open your story.

3. Long winded authors rants at the top, or flaming reviewers.

4. More than 1 person speaking in a paragraph. Each time a new person speaks it is a new paragraph. I cannot believe the number of people who do not know this. It makes the story completely unreadable.

5. No effort to spell check or proofread. Seriously, spell check doesn't catch it when you use the wrong word and its spelled correctly. Proofread!

6. Taking a main character and replacing them with a badly written self insert OC. This counts double triple on a crossover. I always ask "WHY?!" Who actually enjoys these stories? Mostly because they're almost always incredibly poorly and unbelievably written.

7. Characters from other series blatantly inserted into a crossover of 2 other titles for no particular reason. If it goes over the two title crossover advertised, there better be a warning at the beginning and a damn good reason.

Things that cause me to rage quit a story.

1. Characters revealing critical or deeply private information to people they've just met. It makes no sense and its bad and lazy writing. You don't do that in real life, don't do it in your stories. This has killed several otherwise decently written stories for me.

2. Lack of character development. Its okay if the MC is a bit of a jackass at the beginning. When he's still the same clueless jackass after you've written 100k words with no sign of it changing I have a problem.

3. Blatantly inserting characters and places from a second series into your story without warning. If its not done extremely well, its almost always a poor plot choice.

I'm getting dangerously old to still be writing/reading/beta reading anime fanfics. Ahh the hell with it. It'll be our secret right?
