Important Update: 08/24/2014:

With the publishing of my first novel on the horizon, I have reached the difficult decision to remove my fanfiction from the archives. If you have any questions, or would like more information regarding the reasons behind this decision, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you all for the support and reviews over the years. It has helped me become a better writer, and it has prompted me to take my storytelling to the next level.

Where to begin?

Well, I'm a 33 year old mother for starters. I work full time during the day, and I'm attending college in the evenings. Life is crazy right now, so updates may take longer than planned, but I'm trying to finish up the latest fic in the Encounters Series with what little free time I have.

I prefer action over romance and my writing reflects that preference. I don't write romantic fics. I tried to write a one-shot of fluff for the holidays and failed miserably. I'll stick with my action fics for now.

I love using my original characters and exploring how they react to different situations. While I do not own the fandoms that they are interacting with, I'm very protective of my original characters and their world (both of my own creation). That being said, they may not be used without my permission.

To give credit where it's due, I'd like to thank M. Young (from a message board that I frequent) for her artistic rendition of my original character Lalasa Konistav, which I am now using as my avatar. She deserves big hugs and lots of cookies for that.

What didn't you like about it? How can I improve it? Constructive criticism can be very helpful as long as it's not presented as blatant flaming. Just remember to be respectful with your feedback.

Update 06/18/2009

Ok, it's been a while since I've updated my latest fic and I just realized that I haven't given an official reason for my absence. I've been working on an original novel for quite some time and, over the past few weeks, I've been focused on completing it. Right now, the story is finished, but I'm working on my first round of revisions. I will update my fics as time permits, but no guarantees on a time frame.

I've decided to change the way I've categorized my fanfiction series. So far, there will be two separate series: "Visitation" and "Encounters". All of my Ben 10 or Ben 10 crossovers will be under "Encounters" from now on. It's not a huge difference (the stories will remain the same), but it seemed like a good idea for the sake of my own sanity.

Update 08/03/2010

Right, well... It's been months since I've written anything. I've been trying to get the motivation to work on "Good Intentions" or even one of my original pieces, but so far, it hasn't happened. I'm hoping that once school starts up again for my daughter, it'll free up some time for me. At this time, I do not plan on scrapping this series. There will be at least one more fic after "Good Intentions" before the Encouters Series is complete. I'm sorry for the delay in updates, though.

Update 01/02/2011

I'm back again from hiatus. "Good Intentions" has been updated to Chapter Four and Chapter Five is on the way. The only explanation I can offer for my absence is both because of work (I'm working a lot of overtime these days) and when I quit smoking six months ago, it took a while for me to get back into a mindset where I could focus on writing. I'm over that hurdle now and I've been writing almost every day for the past week. So, updates will be back and posted in a timely manner (hopefully). Thanks for being patient.

Update 04/24/2011

It seems like I get back from one hiatus just to start another one. I received a promotion at work and it's kept me pretty busy, even when I'm not actually working. Fatigue has been a bit of a problem and has impaired my ability to focus on writing. I managed to get a full chapter done yesterday, though, so that's posted. I'm working on the next one, but I don't have an ETA for its completion. I'll have it done as soon as I can.

Update 05/27/2012

Well, I'm kind of back, but no promises on how long it's going to stay that way. I am working on a new fic, but it's been slow going. Finding the time to work on it has been a really big challenge. I want to have at least a few chapters finished before I start posting it just in case I have to disappear to the real world again. I don't have a time frame for when I'll have some of it ready to post, but I can say that it's going to be part of the Encounters Series.

I feel pretty bad about abandoning my fics, but I've been working on novels and attending school while working full-time. I'm going to reread what I have up here so far, and I may be able to at least finish "All Fall Down" but not sure if that's going to happen or not. Sorry for disappearing. Again.

Encounters Series:

Alien, Demon, or Undead? (Complete) There might be vauge references to the stories in the "Visitation" series, but you would be able to understand this one just as easily without reading the ones there. This is the first fic in the "Encounters" series.
Set in the Ben 10: Alien Force universe, this story begins with Ben, Gwen, and Kevin investigating a fierce battle in the middle of the night between a Highbreed and a pair of strangers. While the couple appears to be human, they seem to have little trouble defeating the alien, causing the teens to realize that they might not be what they seem. As if that wasn't complicated enough for them, Kevin has trouble remembering the night in question leaving the teenagers to wonder how far they can trust the couple.

Detour: (Complete) This is a direct sequel to "Alien Demon or Undead?", although it shifts things into a slightly different gear.
Crossing Ben 10: Alien Force with House MD, this story follows Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and Karian while they're on their summer road trip. While passing through New Jersey, one of the team falls ill, causing their bus to crash. While two of the team sustain only superficial injuries, one of the others ends up hospitalized while the fourth is sent to the morgue. Dr. House faces the new challenge of diagnosing the mysterious illness while trying to determine what the teenagers are hiding. More questions arise when the fourth member of their team disappears from the morgue and visits his patient. While House loves solving a mystery, this case starts taking turns towards things he's never seen, or believed, before.

The Enemy of My Enemy: (Complete) Third intallment of the Encounters Series.
Crossing Ben 10: Alien Force with Danny Phantom, this story continues with the road trip. Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and Karian stop in Amity Park on their way back to California. At first they are convinced that the reported ghost sightings are signs of alien activity, but as they run into Danny, Sam, and Tucker, they realize that there might be more to it than they initially thought. While the two teams are trying to determine if they can trust each other or not, two villains join forces to accomplish the same goal. Can both groups of teenagers put aside their mutual suspicions for the sake of their own survival?

Good Intentions (Complete): Fourth installment of the Encounters Series.
This story starts off a few months after the team returns from their road trip. Ben and Karian have broken up. While their former teammate is working as a bounty hunter in Los Angeles, Ben Gwen and Kevin receive word that Albedo has been released on parole. However, when a blow to the head causes the former Galvan to lose part of his memory, the team must find him before he remembers why he has returned to Earth.

All Fall Down (Semi-hiatus):Fifth and final installment of the Encounters Series.
The future is never set in stone. This story spans several points in the timeline and explores how the outcomes might be different if certain events are changed along the way. Moralities are tested, the past is mourned, and a thin sliver of hope finds it way through the destruction of a world whose rulers have helped the inhabitants of Earth along the way. By visiting the future, Ben, Gwen, and Kevin may find a way to avert disaster, but the price is higher than any of them might be willing to pay.
