Hey everyone,

So, I'm new at uploading stuff onto this site. I've been wanting to do it for a couple months now; just never had the courage to. But, then one day, my best friend told me I should, so...

I know that most people probably won't like the stuff I put up. They might think that I'm a horrible writer or maybe I haven't experienced anything in life yet, since I am only a teenager. But, I'm not gonna let that stuff stop me from doing the thing I love doing most.

I'm from a super small town in New York, where not much really happens. The most exciting thing that has happened in the 10 years I've lived here was probably when a man flipped his car in front of my house. I'm guessing he was drunk or on drugs. I was like 9 maybe and all I remember was my mom yelling at me to get inside the house 'cause she was scared the car was going to blow up. At the time I didn't really understand why I couldn't be outside with everyone else, but now, I'm glad my mom sent me inside 'cause the person inside was really drunk and was all bloody and the teenagers in the backseat weren't breathing. So, thanks Mami for keeping that image out of my head.

Mami, btw is mom in Spanish for those of you who don't know. So, for those of you who know me personally, when I say "Mami" it's not "Mommy". I've been laughed at because I still say "Mami". I will always call my mother "Mami" she will always be my "Mami". When I"m 47 years old I will still call her "Mami".

I am a girl, btw. I'm Dominican and Colombian. Daddy is Dominican. Mami is obviously Colombian. My mom is from Brooklyn though. She had a pretty crappy childhood so to make up for it she tries to give me a really good childhood. We don't along sometimes. Sometimes she's very protective and I know where she's coming from. She's seen things in her lifetime that she doesn't want happening to me. Sometimes we fight and I get mad but I know that she knows whats best for me so there really is no point in fighting her. I love you Mami!

My dad moved here when he was around 16 from the Dominican Republic. He was a little prankster. All the things you wish you had the courage of doing, he's probably done them. He's the best. He lived in Sleepy Hollow with my grandma and my step-grandpa. They are amazing.

I don't know where I got my love for writing from, because no one in my family likes writing the way I do. When I was little I wanted to become an author. I wanted to be like Barbra Parks and Judy Blume. When I was around 12 I wanted to be like Stephanie Meyer. She was my inspiration. She still is. She's amazing and if I were ever able to be such a successful author like her I would be set for life. But, then there was this girl who told me that I would never be a successful writer; that it was all in my head. She read one of my stories and laughed. So I stopped writing for a while. When I was 13 I finally worked up the courage to let my cousin read some of my stories. A couple days later she called me in tears. She told me that she was in love with my story. She told me that I could actually go places. So, here I am, almost 15 years old, writing stories for the world to read. Hopefully, as I progress in my writing career, I'll get better. If not, well then I suppose writing stories for my 13 year old cousin isn't so bad. At least I know I have one true fan.

Well, that's all I have to say. Hopefully you guys will like some of my stuff.
