This story was inspired by Avengers: Endgame. In this story, Steve Rogers aka Captain America contemplates lost love, old age, and his fate.

This a fanfiction of my own. It is based in an alternate Universe set during Avengers:Endgame. What if Captain America went with Black Widow to Vormir. What sacrifices would they have to make, how would it affect the final battle, and would Steve and Natasha ever be able to find happiness?

Steve is captured by a terrorist group Sygma. They are willing to release to the Captain, but at a high ransom price, one the U.S. government might not be willing to pay. While the Avenger's work to find a way to get him back, Steve is subjected to experiments and when it appears he may have been sold out by a friend, Captain America becomes replaced by a broken Steve.
