![]() Author has written 36 stories for Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Sarah Jane Adventures. Me on Fan Fiction Fan fiction is feeding my obsession. When I become interested in something I loose myself in it. Fan fiction lets me do this with my current obsession. I imagine most people reading or writing fan fiction are of a similar mind set. I also love fan fiction because I can write without having to create a new world and all the characters in it. It gives me a starting point. I've been writing fan fiction in my head all my life, finishing the stories created by others. When I discovered this website I realised I wasn't the only one. My Current Obsession The Whoniverse (Is that the word?). Torchwood specifically. The lovely Captain Jack Harkness and Ianto Jones particularly. Only a gay man would have put two such good looking men on the same show. Thank you Russell T Davies. Good for him. Good for us. I'm quite interested in how Ianto thinks and what is going on behind those lovely blue eyes. I find Jack very interesting. It has always intrigued me how someone could cope with being immortal without going mad and I think that it only works for Jack because he only lives in the moment. Plus I love the randomness of John Barrowman. I love that the same man could play the very tough Captain Jack and also spend his life singing show tunes. The thought always makes me giggle. I kind of want Jack to break out into "I am what I am" during one of the episodes. My Stories Here is a description of some of my stories and my motivations in writing them. Living the Dream is a Torchwood story set near the end of Season 1. This story is an adventure not slash. I have tried to make it read like a self contained story. I was trying to keep to the style of the show. I probably put in a bit more Jack/Ianto angst than the show normally contains. I am a fan after all and I'm writing for my boys. This story is complete and is my first full story. I have made this story quite rollicking and not a little bit tongue in cheek. Cocky is my dirty little secret but a lot of other peoples too because it is definitely my most popular story. It is basically a sexual adventure between Jack and Ianto but my intention is to show more than the sex. If you want to explore the most primal emotions, you need sex or violence. Sex is more taboo but has a much lower death toll. After the blood is the obligatory what goes through Ianto's head post Cyberwoman. Three of a Kind is a complete indulgence on my part. Science fiction enables interesting human interactions. Jack was always going to move on eventually from Ianto, but what if after moving on and finding another love of his life Ianto is brought back from the dead? It's a bit pathetic on my part to bring Ianto back. I couldn't stand the idea in the canon, but fan fiction is another matter. Although many may disagree with me I think Russell T Davis is right. To bring Ianto back would cheapen his death. I also want to see how Jack is changed by the events of Children of the Earth. Despite the angsty topic this fiction is quite light hearted in parts. There is a great scene involving a Jägerbomb and also a scene where Ianto gets sniffy about Natasha messing with his archives. This one isn't finished and I'm not sure if I will finish it. About Me I love writing (obviously), I'm a girl (I'm positive I just checked), I love reviews and they keep me writing (hint hint). I can take a while to update and I'm not great at finishing stories (sorry). Im terribubble at pun!!tuation? and spolling.. surry, |
