Author has written 5 stories for Doctor Who.

Hello!

I'm relatively new to this site and to Doctor Who. In the distant past, I used to write X-Files fan fiction in French and English. Whilst I'm still a writer, I write, shall we say, for an entirely different audience !

Things to know about me as a writer:

I'm a non-native speaker of English, so I tend (or so I have been told) to mix North American and British English. I'm more at ease with American/Canadian English because I've lived in North America for so long.

The companions are the most interesting to me; whilst I like the Doctor some of the time, humans traveling in time and how they become more than their circumstances fascinate me. As such, I don't like character bashing, particularly of Rose, Martha and River. To each one's own, but it is rather pointless. My favourite characters are Rose, the Ninth Doctor and Donna. I'm not a huge fan of the Tenth Doctor; although I greatly appreciate David Tennant's talent as an actor, I find Ten to be less sympathetic than Nine. Yes, he has the pretty face, geek chic and manic personality going; however, he's also far more manipulative and calculating than Nine. That is part of the reason why I have elected to write about TenII -- he seems more "Nine-ish." As a result, my "ships" are Nine/Rose and possibly TenII/Rose. River/Eleven isn't bad either, although I'm not partial to Eleven -- just couldn't get into him.

I strive for realism rather than the fairytale ending, especially when I write Rose. The reason being that Rose is working class; she literally has to work for everything that she is given. When dealing especially with Ten, who comes off as incredibly aristocratic, she is at a lower rung socially and has an entirely different time line. Also, that's why I write fan fiction -- in my mind, I'm writing an episode that I'd like to see. (Maybe you would, too?)

Thanks for reading,

I Keep Repeating Myself by valerie21601 reviews
The Valeyard is defeated, out of spite, he destroys Pete's World. Rose Tyler wakes up, in her 9-year-old body and finds out she's been given a second chance to save the multiverse and a chance to be with her Doctor. That is, if she wants it. This fic isn't Ten nor Tentoo friendly but it's pro-Nine friendly. Trigger warnings will be posted at the top of the chapters as needed.

Post-"Journey's End," Rose and the Duplicate Tenth Doctor deal with Darlig Ulv Stranden the best way they know how: they run. Meanwhile, a seventeenth-century mystery threatens to destroy Pete's World. Can the Doctor and Rose work together to save the multiverse? Rose/OC; eventually Rose/Ten II.

Stars and Silence
Sequel to "Memento Mori." Here was the Doctor, the King who would be Man, never having seen his companion for the goddess-woman that she always was. He saw her as the same 21-year-old shop girl from Peckham that he had left in an alternate universe. Not The Woman Who Walked Worlds, the Woman Who Made the Doctor Better. The Doctor's Doctor. The Doctor Who Left the Doctor Behind.

Upon learning of Steven Moffat's departure from "Doctor Who," Rose Tyler has been called into the Boss's office at the Universal Fanfic Corporation (UFC) to discuss her future. But she soon discovers that he has ... other ideas. Rose learns about "Concept." Do not read if you're easily offended.

Memento Mori reviews
The feisty Rose Tyler failed to appear; instead, the broken young woman mumbled something about her mother, Jackie, griping about how her clock was tickin' and when she and the Doctor were gonna get it together. I rolled my eyes. Was that truly what she wanted?
