In honor of the victims of the shooting that took place today, a look into the morning that Aang was almost defeated by Yakone. What did his family think while listening to what was going on? What were their fears?

Six months after the end of the original Avatar series, the Gaang reflects on their victory, but Aang and Kataang get prideful about their water bending prowess, and an angry fight ensues to declare the champion! Avatar characters property of Nick.

At the insistence of Kuei and Zuko, they take a much needed vacation at Kuei's summer palace, but a hurricane blows them off course to a deserted island. Or is it deserted? Six chapter arc. Jinora had never known the man some said was the greatest to ever live, so naturally she didn't know exactly what to think of him. All she knew is that she wanted his pride, but whether she received it or not was the big question. Perhaps the apperance of a certain Avatar can help her see that not everything is as it seems.

This story occurs near the end of the graphic novel 'Promise Part 3', filling a gap between Aang and Zuko ending their discussion at the Jasmine Dragon about the Harmony Restoration crisis, and before Aang begins the Air Acolytes. Often times the simplest of home activities with their three children Kya, Bumi, and Tenzin were the best times for Aang and Katara. In this story, Aang wakes early one morning, and bakes fruit pies for the family for breakfast.

"Come here, baby girl." Aang gives Kya a bit of advice after she faces a few bullies at her school. But what bothers her is completely different from what he expected.

Much of the fandom wants to see Aang and Katara get married. Many envision a Water Tribe wedding at the South Pole. With the nature of Katara and her fascination with the Air Nomads, I believe that she would want to get married the Air Nomad way, with some Water Tribe traditions mixed in. At the end of a religious conference, Aang and Katara are ambushed by an old enemy and must think quickly to save themselves.

After the finale of Book One, Katara feels there are some things she needs to say to a certain Avatar. But will she ever receive a response?

The Southern Air Temple has sat untouched with its dead for over a century since the day it was destroyed, save for one traumatic visit by its only living citizen. Aang and Katara, as a couple, would share many activities, including a love of flying on his glider. That love of flight was presented in Promise Part 1, when the pair flew over the high Yu Dao wall, holding tightly and flying his glider in tandem over the wall. We are all impressed with the amazing Republic City mid-bay statue honoring Aang. But we know little about it. It was a gift of the Fire Nation. But we don't know who designed it, and only have some idea of when it was built ("after the war"). Here is one plausible possibility. Avatar characters property of Nickelodeon.

Republic City didn't just pop up out of nowhere. The site for it had to be selected. In this story fiancés Aang and Katara are charged by the World leaders of their time to search throughout the former colonies for the perfect setting to build the capital, and their future home. The United Republic was a great idea in theory. Bringing this idea to fruition was labor. It was long, boring, mind-numbing, backbreaking labor to which Aang was deeply committed. But what about his personal life? Would there ever be time for him to marry Katara?

He was the most powerful man in the world and had faced dozens of dangerous threats and criminals, but nothing could have prepared him for the fear he felt as he held his daughter for the first time.

People stared as the man swung a pink backpack back and forth while clutching the hand of his small daughter. To her, that man is not the man they see. The Avatar is the same man who tucks her into bed at night and tickles her until she's giggling so hard she's crying. He's her Daddy.

The now old but very ill Katara leaves the Southern Water Tribe to spend her last moments with her family and 2nd favorite Avatar at Air Temple Island. Her old home. Her last moments 'til she pases the very same night. Kataang, Makorra.

Kya has been sneaking off the island at night and venturing off to Republic City. Aang and Katara follow her with every intention of giving her a punishment for her disobedience, but what if it's them that end up in trouble instead of their daughter?

To the world, they were the Avatars. They were heroes of war and protectors of balance, brave and solemn as they guided the world through tribulations. But to the people that knew them, they were just Aang and Korra, a silly goofball and a headstrong teenager. Katara and Mako have a little chat about differing perspectives.

Then and there, she couldn't help but compare herself...as the true blushing rose Aang had always wanted... Kataang!

She was there for him, and that was all he needed to start healing... Kataang!

One-shot. His children's favorite way of training is against the Avatar himself. But one not-so-accident leaves Aang with a broken arm, an angry wife, and a new admiration for his young children. They are all shaping up into the warriors and the strong, independent people their parents predicted them to be. As Katara heals her injured husband, she notices the same thing. Kataang.

Sokka loved his niece; he really did. She was the spitting image of her sister with every inch of Aang's cheerfulness. Regardless of that, however, he really wouldn't be able to hear another line of that awful song.

She was beginning to fear that denying her feelings was simply not enough anymore. Everyone could see how much she loved the Avatar just by the way she never left his side in his greatest moments of needs. When he awoke screaming and in pain, it was her he was calling for, and she was always there. As tragic as it was, Sokka couldn't help but be concerned.

She couldn't deny that her fortune left her happily looking forward to her future. Aang couldn't deny that he too, was anxious to see how things would end up.

One-shot. She closed the gap between them and finally enjoyed a kiss with him that wasn't out of fear or confusion. Today's events didn't just ensure endings. No, there were definitely going to be a lot of beginnings and this person in front of her wasn't going anywhere. All reviews and criticisms are welcome. Kataang with mentions of Maiko.

Katara has to deal with the thing that most parents are annoyed by: her three kids asking for a pet of their own. She's had it to her wits end, so agrees to something she probably shouldn't and Aang comes to the rescue.

Avatar Aang can't make it home to his family on a stormy night. Bumi sees this as the perfect oppurtunity to scare his siblings with a ridiculous story, but what happens when they actually hear things coming from down the hall?

Kataang, oneshot. Even the Painted Lady needs some help putting on all of that paint sometimes, and the bridge between the worlds is more than happy to comply.

Kataang. Katara needs to know what happened to Aang while he was at the Eastern Air Temple, so she leaves the Fire Nation on her own to visit the guru. But she may be in for a great deal more than just answers when she arrives.

Kataang, oneshot. Their eyes locked, and there was a moment. One single, clear, electric moment in which she saw exactly what he was thinking. It was the same thing running through her mind. We should do it again.

Katara is keeping watch over Aang, waiting for him to wake up, when Hakoda suggests she take a break. Father daughter bonding with a healthy helping of one sided Kataang. Not quite The Awakening compliant, but close.

Kataang, oneshot. After three days of postwar politics this and government that, Katara and Aang finally got a few precious minutes to do absolutely nothing. And that was just what they intended to do. Nothing. Way up on the roof.

Kataang, oneshot. She ran her fingers through his hair. She kissed his cheek. She thought Toph was asleep, but it became clear that she wasn't sleeping at all when she spoke: It kills him when you do that, you know.

Kataang, oneshot. Katara just wants Aang to be selfish for once.

Kataang, oneshot. So in one word, how would Aang describe Katara? Dangerous.

Kataang, oneshot. If Aang was trying to be a gentleman, he was doing a terrible job. In fact, he was practically teasing her.

Kataang, oneshot. Just hours after the end of the war, Katara put it into the simplest terms: I'm glad you didn't die.

Kataang, oneshot. Aang has another responsibility that everyone else has overlooked. Everyone but Katara, of course.

Kataang. Three years and five months of space separate Aang and Katara when he suddenly returns to the South Pole, and nobody knows what it will take to bridge the gap.
