 I don't write, but I do read. A. LOT. I love Twilight (duh!) and Harry Potter - I'm a big Sci-Fi geek. I love to play PS3 and Wii, Final Fantasy is by far my favorite. Actually, I'm a big tech geek too. I'm on Facebook and Twitter (FicObsessed) and use both extensively. I have an iPod touch and a phone powered by Android. So I guess FanFiction combines both my favorite types of things to do! I am a stickler for correct they're/their/there and your/you're usage. If you are an author, I applaud you for putting your hard work on the web for everyone to read. Having said that...I won't read a story, no matter how good the plot, if your grammar truly sucks. I don't mind a couple of misspellings or bad grammar instances, but if your whole chapter is like that - I won't call you out on it, but I will quit reading your story. I haven't written any stories but I've read enough to be able to tell when a story is poorly written. I'd be happy to pre-read or beta if anyone needs one! :D |
