When Voight gives Erin and Jay three days off something horrible happens. In order to move forward they're going to have to learn to lean on each other and the family around them.

Voight has two rules for his unit. One, tell him the truth, so he can lie for you. Two, no relationships within the unit. Jay and Erin have always been able to follow the second rule, until one night when they are looking at each other in a way they have never allowed themselves to before.

This is a oneshot that takes place right after Jay was shot in Chicago PD 6x02. I thought it would have been interesting to see an interaction between the Halstead brothers at Med and to see Will's reaction to Jay being brought into the ER so soon after losing their father. This is my first attempt at fan fiction, hope you enjoy it!

It was getting harder and harder to breathe. See, if he were honest, he'd get benched. He couldn't. Not now. Not with this case.

Why Will Halstead showed up in Jay's apartment beaten up at the end of episode "Say Her Real Name"? The story begins just in the moment the episode ends with the line: "I might not have told ya everything why I left New York".

After an undercover gone wrong, this is how Hank Voight says sorry after feeling guilty towards an injured Halstead. But it leads to a revelation of a big secret. It is more Voight as father figure than a leader. Warning : A mention of child abuse.

Jay knew. He'd been that close to the edge before, he knew what it felt like. To die. I don't own Chicago PD or it's characters.

Oneshot. Jay and Will plus a side of linstead. "This is Mom's ring." "Yep." "And you don't want to give this to Erin?"

Sometimes quick just isn't quick enough. Sometimes you learn that the hard way. When Jay gets taken by a heroin kingpin Derek Keyes, Erin is forced to return to Intelligence to save her partner. It's only a two-shot, but hopefully it will help tide you over until the premiere.

Aftermath of 3x01. Jay's hurt and Erin wants to check on him. ONESHOT

Erin and Jay find themselves in a dangerous situation. "I have met brave men before, Mr. Halstead. And I'm sorry to break it to you but every single one of them had a weakness I could exploit".

Body parts spread across Chicago. A violent gang that will do anything to stay one step ahead of Voight and his team. Relationships and friendships are strained as going undercover is deemed too risky by Commander Fischer. But it seems there is no alternative. Set before Lindsay's downward spiral but mostly following the series.

"I used to be my own protection, but not now, cause my path has lost direction, somehow. A black wind took you away, from sight and held the darkness over day, that night." (WARNING: Super sad). When a random drunk driver blows a red light on an average street in Chicago, the Intelligence unit is torn apart. This is the story of how they try to put themselves back together.

After offering their assistance to another department in need of a few warm bodies for an undercover string, Jay and Erin end up in a situation that most would consider unappealing. While Jay fights to hang on, and Erin fights to keep Jay alive, choices are made, and people have to learn to live with the repercussions. But will everyone make it out to live with the choices?

"Everybody's watching you now. Everybody waits for you now. What happens next?" When Lindsay gets shot and Halstead goes missing, Voight, Dawson and the intelligence unit pull all the stops to find out what happened and find their missing member. But in order to catch these criminals, they will have to ask themselves; how far are they willing to go to?

A routine trip to bring in the average murderer has Alvin looking at Jay in a new light, and possibly dragging Jay away from the light while he's at it.

"You terrify me, you know that?" She murmured, trying to decipher the colour of his eyes. They were all shades under the red dusk glow. And she was in love. Jay flashed a ghost of a smile. "Why?" "Because right now, with you looking at me like that... I feel like I could tell you everything."

Jay was a hero to his core, and all Erin did in return was treat him like she had broken his heart, when the fact of the matter, was that she had broken both of their hearts. But when she realizes that she doesn't give a damn about the rules, it might just be too late.

She opens her mouth to speak, but he shakes his head and keeps her quiet with a quick kiss to the lips. When he pulls away she swears she hears him say he loves her.

It wasn't supposed to happen like this. It was just a simple meet. No one was supposed to get hurt.

As cliché as it sounded, Jay and Erin's life as partners and friends was never as it seemed. And something as horrific and simple as a car accident wasn't going to change anything about that. Or in other words - why you should buckle when driving.

What happens when a routine call goes bad? Yeah I suck at summary's but that's basically what happens :) Its centered around Jay and Erin for the most part but the others do play roles in it
