New author here. Write primarily war themed fanfics. Watch out for my upcoming stories:

During the royal wedding, hundreds saw Princess Celestia defeated and Luna was nowhere to be seen. Now, having lost faith with their leaders, the working class ponies face off against the upper elite to overthrow the monarchy. But which side will the Main 6 take?

After the fall of Tsingtao, the German Pacific Fleet head out across the ocean, heading for the colony of German Samoa. Unknown to them, however, the colony has been taken by New Zealand forces. The story of the Haast Eagle Squadron and the war for the Pacific.

-Wolf Brother - War of the Deep

In Oathbreaker; Torak, Wolf and Renn defeated Thiazzi and prevented war between the Deep Forest and the Open Forest. But what if they had failed? What would have happened if the Deep Forest Clans had marched out of the forest and attacked the Open Forest?

Things I hate about My Little Pony Fanfics

-Humans in Equestria. Ponies belong in Equestria, not humans.

-Ponies on Earth. Just as bad as HiE.

-Humanised Ponies. Ponies are ponies, not humans. You want to write about humans? Pick a different fandom.

-Self-Inserts. You're not in Equestria, get over it. You can make an OC thats similar to you, but it isn't you.

-Grimdarks. A bit of blood and gore is fine, but this is based on a cartoon. Stop writing Cupcake-like stories.

-Adding more Elements of Harmony. There are 6 elements, and they have all been claimed. There is no Element of Love, or Peace, or Honour, or anything like that.

Things to Remember about Pony OCs

-Give them faults. All of the main 6 have their own faults, and so should your OC. Nopony is perfect. I can't stress this enough.

-Avoid the Russian Novel Syndrome. Don't fill your story with too many OCs. Limit it to just a few.

-No Alicorns. The Royal Family are Alicorns. Noone else. No, your OC cannot be part of the Royal Family.

-Don't make them look stupid. That means, don't give them a bright, radioactive body colour. Make their mane and tail the same colours. Don't give them body parts from other animals. Stuff like that. (This applies more to pictures, but can still apply for stories).
