This is an alternate version of the scene at the hospital in The Lying Detective. In this version Culverton Smith's attempts at suffocating Sherlock have progressed to a point where it may already be too late for John to save the detective.

In 'His Last Vow' there was a big amount of off-screen suffering. So here is a collection of scenes that I missed in the episode. There are intense moments of handling physical pain and mental agony, as well as a lot of H/C, doctor!John, hurt!Sherlock and unwelcome medication in Sherlock's sytem.

*HLV Spoilers* (post-Consciousness Regained, pre-Some Value in Sentimentality (Perhaps)) Those long hours the second time he finds himself maintaining a bedside vigil in a week.

After three years spent with dismantling Moriarty's web, Sherlock finally returns to London - and to John. John, however, after three years of thinking his best friend dead, does not react as expected and is not ready to forgive him, but sends Sherlock, alone and in need of his friend, away. When John finally comes to his senses, it might be too late./Prompt fill. Angsty.

Sherlock comes back from a case acting strange. He deteriorates until he does the unthinkable. After having a breakdown, he no longer remembers John or most of his current life. John visits Sherlock in the asylum often, hoping that he will be able to rescue his friend from the memories and abuse that triggered his breakdown, and hoping to gain his friend back.

All it takes is one moment for everything to go horribly wrong (oneshot, johnlock)

Mrs. Hudson is attacked. Sherlock is a suspect. As he sits in the cell, paralyzed with fear and regret, he remembers how Mrs. Hudson helped him through the horrors of his childhood. As he struggles through the agony of her injuries, Sherlock must reconcile a past that he couldn't have survived without the landlady who was more of a mother than his own.

It cannot get any worse, John has assumed originally. Lost their suspect, got lost themselves, nothing but cold and snow and trees surrounding them. Well, he is wrong. A so far unpleasant situation suddenly turns into a possibly life-threatening one, and soon John finds himself, together with Lestrade, facing a race against the clock to save his best friend's life. Prompt fill.

John will always come for Sherlock. It's as simple as that. Always, if he gets the chance to. And this time, he prays with all his heart that it is not too late already. /Two parts.

When John receives a phone call in the middle of the night, he knows that something has happened to Sherlock, something qualifying as 'not good'. He is, however, not prepared for what has led to his friend's injury and hospitalisation. And he certainly isn't prepared to face the question if Sherlock will ever recover properly from what has happened.

Broken and battered by an old girlfriend, months after he's home from Afghanistan, John is forced to seek refuge in Asylum - a home for men with nowhere else to go. When he meets and begins to bond with his eccentric roommate (who is even more broken than he is), John realizes that maybe - just maybe - he can heal again. Part 1 of "A Lonely September" series.

Sherlock is expecting a visit from his mother. For the first time in a long time John finally sees his friend excited. That is until tragedy strikes and John must help Sherlock through a difficult time.

It is never a good idea to kidnap someone in order to get what you want. But to kidnap the British government himself, together with his little brother, and hurt said brother in the process? Definitely even less beneficial. And don't forget about a certain former army doctor, slowly starting to worry about his flatmate. - Two-shot.

Crossing the road is something little children are taught to do properly and safely. Some of them may have deleted it, though. So this is what happens when an unfortunately busy road come between a certain Consulting Detective and a case. Three-shot, probably.

The doctor had just asked how bad the pain was when the pain spiked. Sherlock's initial response was a gasp that evolved into a whimper. "Ten," he gasped. "Ten..."

Sherlock knows he must do it right, but can't recall why. John arrives home and finds something very, very wrong. Rated T for mention of mature themes and self injury.

Two years after Sherlock's death, John comes to find him on the sofa. Wounded and ill, Sherlock is convinced he's hallucinating and refuses to share any details about Moran or the fact that Mycroft has been compromised. That doesn't stop John from stepping up and taking care of the last of Moriarty's web, BAMF-style. Johnlock.

Someone wants Sherlock Holmes to break down. The consulting detective must fight for his sanity until help arrives. But by the time John, Lestrade and Mycroft finds Sherlock...he's completely cracked. This is how he spiraled to insanity. Donovan didn't want to see this, and Sherlock didn't want to be seen - especially by her - this way.

Some men do not appreciate Sherlock's handling of their cases. They decide to pay him back. Written in response to a kink prompt which I cannot find again despite scouring the prompts pages for at least half an hour.
