![]() Author has written 12 stories for Dragon Ball Z, Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy X, Elder Scroll series, and Harry Potter. "Fantasy is an exercise bicycle for the mind. It might not take you anywhere, but it tones up the muscles that can." - Terry Pratchett UPDATE FEB 2014: Ahahahaaaaaa. Wowwww. Yeah this is why I never bothered writing multi-chapter fics before... I knew I'd never keep it up. I've also had a hell of a lot going over the past year. Being at university. Dropping out of university. Getting my dream job anyway. Being told two months later there was no longer a job for me to have. Breaking up with my fiance and having my heart shattered. Getting back together with said fiance. Ending up with a nephew that I always seem to have to babysit. Biting the bullet and going back to my old job in retail to save to finally get married (IT'S BEEN OVER SEVEN YEAAAARS). My already seriously ill dad nearly dying in hospital (he's ok, btw.. now we just need that cure for MS, hah). Aforementioned fiance getting badly assaulted and the following court case... and... y'know... life just generally shitting on you (well, except for the nephew part, he's adorable xD) fanfiction hasn't really been a priority, as I'm sure you can understand. I still want to complete A Little Kindness. I did have a lot of good ideas for it, and believe it or not, the ending has been written since the beginning. I also have a big event already written for the middle somewhere. It's just finding what to put in around these parts, and because it's been like two years since I published it, I've really, really lost track of where I was, and where I was planning on going with it. I'll try and get it back on track, I do want to. I'm actually considering re-writing it. That way I might be able to keep up with it better. I've also started writing a load of other fics. Some DBZ. Some Zelda. Some Fire Emblem. They all need major work, but hopefully once I get stuff sorted in real life I can start doing this again. I did really enjoy writing, and thanks to everyone who's reviewed my stories. I don't often reply to reviews personally, but I do love each one I get. Well, hello there. I'm Bexie. And er... yeah. I'm 25, and I hail from England. I've been on here for years and years, but have only recently started writing decent fics. My early ones on here were TERRIBLE. *facepalm* I ended up deleting them. So embarassing. xD While I'm English, I may occasionally use the American spelling for certain words - like "mom" instead of "mum". *pokes stories with Gohan and Chichi* This is mainly because if I use "mum", when I read it through I hear Gohan's voice in my head saying it in a weird British accent, and it sounds odd. xD But for most other things I will, of course, be using the British spelling. So no reviews telling me I'm spelling stuff like that wrong, m'kay? :P I don't have many pet peeves when it comes to fanfiction, but one of the main ones that I DO have is people just shoving in random Japanese words. I can't stand it. Just stuff like that. Randomly putting in Japanese words and phrases. NO. Just don't do it. It doesn't look cool, it doesn't make you look smart, it looks damn stupid - and most of the time, people use it incorrectly anyway. JUST PICK A DAMN LANGUAGE AND STICK TO IT. I do have a couple of exceptions to this - one of the main examples is Fruits Basket fanfiction, if people keep in the honorifics added to people's names, like "Kyo-kun" or "Honda-san". That's okay, because they keep this in the translation of the manga, and it's used to show the different relationships between people and how they develop (like when Yuki finally calls Tohru "Tohru" instead of Honda-san. It's a big deal.) But still, even then, I can't stand it if people say something like "Tohru-kun looks so kawaii!" NO. NONONONONO. So seriously, weaboos. Leave it out. I don't want your badly used "kawaii"s and "desu"s. :P
I love video games. I have close to 20 different consoles and handhelds. I'm obsessed, and I actually collect Nintendo stuff. Favourite series include The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Bioshock, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Golden Sun, Pokemon and Phoenix Wright. I'm not as big a fan of anime as I used to be as a teenager, but I still love Dragonball Z! I also love reading. My favourite author is Terry Pratchett - I highly recommend you check out some of his Discworld novels, they're brilliant. Big fan of Harry Potter, too - been reading them since 1997, when my grandparents gave me the first book as an extra Christmas present on a whim. Best whim ever. xD I'm OBSESSED with jpop and kpop. My all time favourite singer is the amazing Ayumi Hamasaki, and I was lucky enough to meet her last year. I'm also a huge fan of SHINee, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, U-Kiss, TVXQ!, BIGBANG... Yeah, I love me my hot Korean boybands. Despite my many nerdy persuits, I am in fact a total girly girl. I have an insane amount of make-up, clothes, and I collect Hello Kitty. I LOVE HELLO KITTYY :D Favourite Quotes - All by Terry Pratchett: "Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set fire to him and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." "It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." "It's not worth doing something unless you were doing something that someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren't doing." "The pen is mightier than the sword if the sword is very short, and the pen is very sharp." "The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it." "They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance." "Writing is the most fun you can have by yourself." ... Yeah, I like Mr. Pratchett a lot. :P
Watch some battles from Dragonball Z. Everytime someone says something like "Oh, no, Krillin!", "Krillin, look out!" or even just "KRIIILLIIIIN!", you have to have a drink. Considering how often Krillin gets owned, prepare to get wasted. xD |
