![]() Author has written 1 story for Starship. I'M A FANFICTIONER AND YOU GOTTA DEAL WITH IT. Hi everyone, I'm Daniella, I'm 14 years old and I love to write, and read, and go on the Internet. My main fandoms are Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and Nerdfighteria. I also love Team Starkid, Season 1 and 2 Glee, Divergent, Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend Of Korra (easily my most favorite show of all time), and Percy Jackson. I also go crazy over most musicals I know about - Wicked, West Side Story, Into The Woods, Newsies, Next To Normal, Rent, etc. Please cope with me here, I may be crazy, but I promise you, it's the good kind! :) I have been on this site before in the form of a lurker, then in the form of theatre4life. I had a very long hiatus from this site, but I think I'm ready to take fanfiction more seriously. Plus, I can't figure out how to log back into my old account because I forgot my password a bunch of times and now I can't figure out what my new password is. So, um. More stuff about me. I'm Filipina-American, first generation, and I do not understand most of the Tagalog that my parents say to each other. It annoys me to no end. I was on a synchronized skating team last year, and I've continued to figure skate on my own. I am a very obsessive fan of Disney movies such as The Lion King, Tarzan, Mulan, Aladdin, and Beauty And The Beast. I also have no shame in telling the world that I sing in front of/inside my school (in hallways) sometimes. As long as I'm with my equally insane friends, I honestly couldn't care less if people stare at me. In addition to that, I have no crush (I'm going to be a freshman next school year), and personally think that dating in middle and elementary school is stupid and just a waste of time. I've seen it all, and it isn't pretty. Twitter fights, angry and emotional Facebook posts...*shudders* This is why I love Tumblr. I'm probably the only one in my class who gets emotionally invested in the books we read together as a class. The Outsiders was amazing, one of my favorite books of all time, and I read it in seventh grade as assigned reading. And to finish it all off, I am a theater geek and wish to find fellow theater geeks in my school so I know that I'm not alone. Oh, and I also watch "Submissions Only" and the Lizzie Bennet Diaries! So here's a variety of lists that I think will say a lot about me: My favorite books (in no particular order): The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton, The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, Looking For Alaska by John Green, The Joys Of Love by Madeleine L' Engle, Dramarama by E. Lockhart, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Divergent by Veronica Roth, the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling, Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, Pride And Prejudice by Jane Austen (LBD FTW!), the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan, The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie, and Feed by M. T. Anderson. These books were all very well-written and struck a chord with me - I could never forget these books, I can read them over and over again. And in many cases *cough*TFiOS*cough* I cried like a baby. And I still cry like a baby when I reread them. Ships I gotta ship (do not judge me): Klaine (Glee), the old Finchel (Glee), Hazel/Augustus (TFiOS), John Green/The Yeti (Vlogbrothers), Breredith (Team Starkid), Romione (HP), Rolfa (HP), Ginary (HP - portrayed by the books, not the movies), Sukka (ATLA - my only real ship for this fandom), Percabeth (PJO), Katniss/Gale (THG), Finnick/Annie (THG), Tris/Four (Divergent). Songs I LOVE: "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" and "If You Ever Come Back" by The Script. All classic Disney songs - everything from "Once Upon A Dream" from Sleeping Beauty to "I See The Light" from Tangled. Favorite quotes: “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” “So many books, so little time.” “You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” “Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” “Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” “Without music, life would be a mistake.” “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” “Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself.” “Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.” “A book, too, can be a star, a living fire to lighten the darkness, leading out into the expanding universe.” “I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?” "There's a solution to the problem of not caring about Harry Potter; read Harry Potter." - Hank Green "Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead." - Louisa May Alcott “Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself.” OTHER WEBSITES I FILL WITH MY FANGIRLNESS: My main Tumblr blog: And I am also in Our Pants, the Nerdfighter community! I need to be more active: NEW STUFF: The Secret Life Of Roach, a Starship fanfic about Roach and his relationship with Bug. IN THE WORKS: With A Little Help From My Friends, a Harry Potter songfic to the Beatles' "With A Little Help From My Friends" surrounding the idea of friendship in the Harry Potter canon. Somewhat experimental; the sketches I write aren't connected plot-wise very much. But each section relates to that specific stanza in the song. Features the Golden Trio, the Silver Trio of Ginny, Neville, and Luna, Snape and Lily, The Marauders, Harry and Dumbledore, and Fred, George and Lee. K, maybe some mild cursing from the Marauders. Just Vaguely, a Harry Potter fanfic about the life of Draco Malfoy and his relationships, friendships, and experiences during his school years, recounted after the Battle of Hogwarts to his son, Scorpius, and written for Rita Skeeter, who wants the "inside scoop" on Harry Potter's supposed rival. It's not completely developed yet, but I know for a fact that I will introduce Astoria in this fic, and have a hint of Dramione. K, maybe T later on. What It Means, another Harry Potter songfic surrounding the theme of "what it means" to be a certain kind of person in the Harry Potter universe: a Gryffindor, a Slytherin, a pureblood, an Auror, etc. The song used for this fic is "What It Means To Be A Friend" from the musical 13, and its lyrics are altered for each character, as if the song was actually the characters' thoughts. I guess you could call this one also an experimental songfic. K. |
