Looking back later in life, John always felt that he should have seen it coming sooner. But the first weeks after the Heroic Return had been so filled up that he only realised something was seriously wrong with Sherlock when it was too late for an easy way out.

"When's the last time you ate something substantial?" "What's today?" John resisted the very strong urge to sigh. "Monday." Sherlock thought for a moment. "Friday."

Moriarty plots a one-two punch to take out the Holmes Brothers. Meanwhile Sherlock and Mycroft cross swords and the first seeds of the fall are sown, while John tries to cope with the return of Irene. Will stand alone, but this takes my story line up to the start of the Fall.

When Sherlock inadvertently walks into an explosion, head trauma leaves his skills of deduction compromised. Details from the explosion are projected on a young girl; a girl who happens to be dead. John shouldn't be surprised when Sherlock hides his illness from him. Sherlock doesn't give into illness like most people. However... what started as a simple problem is turning into something much more painful... for both Sherlock and his consulting doctor.

Sherlock habitually starved himself of everything: Food, sleep, sex. Fortunately John finally figured out how to get Sherlock to eat. To want to eat. To absolutely love it.

In retrospect, when a car is careening straight for the cab you're in, maybe shouting "Look out!" isn't the best warning. You should simply get out of the cab and out of the line of danger- Oh, wait, you can't do that? Well then, shouting "Look out!" is probably the best line of action.

Sherlock arrives ill at a crime scene, and there are... complications. Lestrade makes a phone call, and Sally Donovan sees something wholly unexpected.
