I'm here to review, not to post stories. I prefer to give criticism and give generous feedback to good, well-written stories. I refuse to support the following types of fanfiction: 1.) Hatefics - Everyone in each fandom has their share of least favorite characters, but don't expect everyone to cheer you on while you bash your most hated character to the extreme... unless you're a troll. 2.) Trollfics - Exactly what it saws on the tin. 3.) Poorly Written fanfics - I suggest you get a betareader. There are plenty of those who will gladly help you fix up your fanfics. 4.) Suefics - Yeah... 5.) plagiarized fanfics - This one gets to me the most. It's not like using the same idea for a fanfic (Example: Character A leaves Character B when they find out Character B is with Character C. Years pass and Character A becomes a cooler, hipper better person than they used to me. Afterwards Character B tries to split ties with Character C and get back with Character A), you're claiming the work of someone who worked hard and put though a lot of planning and time into their fanfic. If you think you have a right to take work that's not yours, I suggest you delete all of "your" fanfics and get off of FF.Net. We don't need your plagiarizing self around here. Inspiration/Writer's Block/Ideas Tips: I'll add more and change some from time to time. PM me if you have any tips! And let me know if you need any help! I will help you if you need it!! These tips are to help you get over Writer's Block and give you Inspiration and Ideas. 1. Listen to music. While your listening think about your story. You can imagine a lot of scenes for your stories by doing this. Try to listen to music that fits your story/chap. 2. Reread your story. If you go back and read what you already wrote you'll get a readers point of view (POV) and start wondering what you think will happen next. Then, write/type your ideas. 3. Ask your friends. Go around and ask your friends, readers, or family about your story. They might be able to pitch an idea or two for you to use. Don't be afraid to ask. 4. Write/Type a completely random scene. It will really get you thinking and possibly put you in a good mood. You'll think of tons to write! 5. Don't give up. The worst thing you can do is take a break. You'll stop thinking about your stories and when you decide to come back, you won't have any ideas! Keep trying. 6. Write everything that comes to mind down. Even if it's weird and random write it down. Reread it, edit it, and you may have just written the next part of your story. If not, it's a great idea to get the creative juices flowing. 7. Read books/Watch movies/Play games that are the same genre as your story. If you're writing a fanfic, read/watch/play whatever you're writing a fanfic for. It will refresh your memory of what you're writing about, and might give you new ideas. 8. Get in the mood to write. You can't write if you're not in the mood. Try to get in the mood you want your story to be in. Happy chap. Happy mood. Sad chap. Sad mood. Dark chap. Dark mood. Ect. 9. Outline your story. Outlining can really help you keep your story on track and prevent writers block, if you ever get stuck, just look at your outline and see where you want to go, then it's as simple as connecting the two events. 10. Work backwards. Maybe you know how you want your story to end, but not how to start it. Think about where you want to get, then think of all the ways they could there. Chances are, there are tons. Once you figure out that out, do it again, and again, and again. Soon enough, you'll have an entire story! This is just what I do, folks. I'll fave a fanfic I like, type a review for it, sometimes give you some constructive criticism and/or idea or two and hope you'll continue writing. Remember, don't EVER give up on writing. It's probably one of the worst things you could ever do to yourself and to the gift of writing. |
