![]() Author has written 4 stories for Dead Rising, Dragon Age, Fallout, and Diablo. "Workers of the world unite; you have nothing to lose but your chains." - Karl Marx "The writer must earn money in order to be able to live and to write, but he must by no means live and write for the purpose of making money." - Karl Marx A few things about me... My name is John Chandos, both here and in real life, although a few select friends and family members call me "Johnny." I was born November 6, 1989. As you can tell, I am a Communist. The rest you'll just have to figure out on your own. My fics here are and will usually be 'epics', stories with a great amount of chapters. As some of you have told me on one of the fics, the characters need more development. However, were I to immediately tell all there is to know about the characters, I feel as though many would lose interest fairly quickly. So thus, character development will be somewhat limited in them, but all I ask is that you be patient with it, for both the reason I mentioned above and other things. Currently I will have two stories running here on this site, one of which has been going for some time but has been abandoned until recently due to personal reasons that I'd rather not share. Those stores are: New Wasteland, Same Problems - Probably the better known of the two. It is an epic centered in the Fallout universe, specifically in the area shown in Fallout: New Vegas. The protagonists are Justin Shepard, the 'Lone Wanderer' from Fallout 3, and Alessandra (or Alex) Roark, the Courier of New Vegas. Mostly follows the plot of Fallout New Vegas, with my own personal twist. With existential, truly human characters and a unique, somewhat dark setting and tone, I feel as though it is something of a must-read, if you enjoy Fallout. Birth of a Legend - An epic centered on the events of the game Diablo 1, the much-acclaimed hack-n'-slash game created by Blizzard. It chronicles a brave Warrior's descent beneath the Tristram cathedral into Hell, to battle the Lord of Terror himself and the evil that lurks beneath the earth. First chapter will be up soon. Other ideas - I've had many ideas thus far for new fics. These are included, but not limited to: Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, Age of Empires 3 (War Chiefs and Asian Dynasties included), Age of Mythology, and Titan Quest: The Immortal Throne. These are just a few ideas, however; some may be acted upon, some may not, but at least you have an idea of what the resident Communist might be up to in the future. That's pretty much it, reviews are appreciated greatly. I do take the time to read each and every one of them with great care, and value constructive criticism highly, so even if I do not respond specifically to your review, fear not, for you haven't been simply glanced over. "If the opposition disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves." - Joseph Stalin Where you can (usually) find me: The Living Dead RPG: A website that was created back in August of 2008. It is a Dead Rising community, to those of you that are familiar with that old Capcom game for the Xbox 360. I've been there ever since the site was created, and I currently administrate it as well. The people there are pretty friendly - aside from the occasional troll, of course - and you can find pretty much all my work there as well. If you're looking for a good "Zombie Apocalypse RPG" to roleplay in, this would be the place to go. GameFAQS: A site that I usually go to for game help. They have lists of cheat codes and walkthroughs for just about any game you can think of. I tend to lurk around the Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising message boards there (Both are in the Xbox 360 section of the website.) I usually only post there once or twice in a century, however, so if you're looking for me then you'll probably have a better chance of finding me on the Living Dead RPG website. Now then, I have decided to upload a few pictures of the protagonists for my most-read fic, New Wasteland, Same Problems, so that way you can perhaps get a better mental image of what they look like. I have two for each character. If clicking on the link doesn't work then it's due to an error on my part; simply copy and paste it. Let it be known that I do not own any of these images, they belong to whomever created them. Justin: A bit cartoon-ish, I know, but it captured my mental image of how the enigmatic Lone Wanderer in my fic looks perfectly: Justin (again): This is what he would look like in-game. The person that made the character made him exactly like mine, so hey, why not use it? Alex: It's a picture of a real woman, yes, but she fits the persona of the bumbling, kind-hearted Courier perfectly: Alex (again): What she would probably look like in-game. The face comes from a character mod for Fallout 3, and this is actually the picture I used as a foundation for her looks while I was making her character for the fic before it started. I’m usually known as AceTheMercenary almost everywhere, although I may occasionally be John Chandos depending on the site. |
