So I'm at a loss really as to why exactly it's so special to me other than...it is. I have followed this from the very start. I have a VERY short list of my favorite Edwards EVER. And this one is definitely on it. I don't want to give too much away for those of you who decide to read it now, but there is something significant about this E that changes everything you think you know about him. I really enjoy it when an author has the balls to stray from the cookie-cutter, utterly perfect image of Edward. And this one is a perfect example of how thinking outside fo the box pays off. I often find myself wanting to bitch slap Bella in this one, but it keeps you hooked the whole way. You'll literally be yelling at the screen the whole time you're reading. I can't say too much more without ruining it, but you get the picture. The pacing is realistic, the writing is witty and comical. And the E/B dynamic in this one is so beautiful and painful to read. But worth it all the same.
