My real name is Shealyn, but there are a couple reasons why I use the name Rain while online. First, it's a nickname that some people have adapted for me. Don't ask me why. Second, I really like it. Third, I have a Muse named Rain. So I use Rain, and you can refer to me with my real name or Rain; or any other adaptation of either name (example: Shea, Rainy, Rai, Lyn, etc.).

I live in Canada. I know some people don't give out personal information, but I really don't care if you know my name and my country. If you're obsessive and have way too much time on your hands, then you can go ahead and try and find me. If you're not, then it doesn't really matter where I live.

I live with both my parents, my older brother, my baby kitty Ash (he's almost 8 months old now ^^), and my beloved Bonsai tree (his name is Bo). No, we don't have six feet of snow all year round; no, we don't ride polar bears to Tim Hortons. Think that we should? Then why don't you go up into the Arctic and try to climb on a polar bear. See where that gets you.

I seem like a bitch from what I've said up there, and maybe I am. But I can be quite nice if I want to be. I treat people the way they treat me. Be nice to me, I'll be nice back. Be a total ass, and I'll reflect your attitude back at you. I am very sarcastic, I get offended easily, and I'm very emotional. I lie, and I'm nowhere near perfect. But I'll always try my best to write properly, and I always appreciate criticism. I don't care whether it's harsh or gentle, I just want to improve. If you find any grammatical errors especially, please tell me about it.

Generally, I'm an anti-social person. I'm really awkward in big groups, though I usually hide my true feelings when with said groups. I don't like many ideals that society has, and I think that the current government (led by Stephen Harper, currently) has their priorities all wrong. I support gay rights, and I think racism is a pointless way to try to make certain people feel superior. I do not believe in God. That being said, I do think that everyone on the earth is here for a reason.

Currently, anime, manga and writing are the biggest parts of my life. Some of my favourites are FullMetal Alchemist, InuYasha, Shugo Chara, Blue Exorcist, Death Note, Tokyo Mew Mew, Black Butler, Ouran High School Host Club, Night Head Genesis, and Full Moon O Sagashite. I know, it's a really random list, I don't really have preferences for genres. I also have a long list of manga/anime to read/watch. If you have any good ones, I'd like to hear suggestions for new ones. And yes, Desi, I will eventually get around to finishing Durarara!! so leave me alone.

I suck at updating, it's true. I'm so inconsistent, and I'm very sorry for it. I've been either on Cloud 9 or standing on the top of a cliff with a hurricane about to hit. The plot bunnies don't like either place very much, so I'll probably only be updating Gravity for a while, since it's a true story. But I'm sure life will even out one way or another, and I'll start updating Bittersweet again and writing new stories.
