Author has written 2 stories for Chronicles of Narnia.

The daughter of a Lion is also a lion. ~ an African proverb

Bat'Arieh? As the proverb above is becoming a constant lesson for me in recent days, and as the Chronicles of Narnia have been my favorite stories for two decades, I chose the pen name Bat'Arieh , Hebrew for "Daughter of a Lion" (pronounced 'bot' as in robot and 'ah-REE').

So right away I have exposed the fact that I have a nerd streak. :)

The world of FanFiction is brand new to me. Fresh, entertaining, and a bit like a portable library that I can access anywhere on my laptop. It is also inspiring. Pieces by authors such as Andi Horton and Narniafriend especially excite me. Anything that stays true to the characters, places, and events that Lewis left us. I am certain I will find other authors with great pieces as well.

All of this inspiration has gotten me to writing, which I have not done in a story sort of way for a while. Just a couple puppet plays and a fairy tale or two. We shall see how this Narnia fanfic goes. I have most of the plot line in my head, and a few chapters nearly woven together. But I want to make sure I know it is going somewhere before I post it.

Back to being a nerd - I love editing! If you need a beta-reader, send something my way! Please, though, no incest/slash/explicit scenes. I prefer K, and nothing more than a T for ratings. Sorry. I just personally cannot go some places.

I am most interested in the gaps between the stories. (if you are looking for a muse, read on!) What was life like for King Frank and Queen Helen? What was it like for their children to marry dryads and naiads? Did you realize that the inhabitants of Archenland must be Frank and Helen's descendants? What kinds of things happened in Archenland? How and when did Narnians begin to be corrupted by Jadis? Where did the Stone Table come from? How did the Islands come to be inhabited? What exactly happened when the first Telmarines stumbled through the cave on that island on earth (it makes me think of "Lost" for some reason)? Where on earth or in the universe did the Calormen come from? What do events in Narnia look like to the Stars, and what is being a star like? What else lay to the west beyond the great cliffs?

Wow. OK, that is enough musing for now. I am sure that some of these answers are hidden in the hundreds of stories people just like yourself have written. It seems that most are written about the Pevensies. But there are so many characters! So many places! So many suggestions out there for stories to write!

UPDATE
So I have begun! The first chapter of my first posted story is below. Arriving Home is sort of a prologue to a longer story I am working on (Cair Paravel). I wanted to explore the lives of King Frank and Queen Helen as they and all of their subjects settled into Narnia. But the longer story is still intimidating to me, so I thought I would get to know the Frank and Helen through their conversations with Aslan that took place in the day and a half that Digory, Polly and Fledge were off to fetch the apple. If you read it, I would love to get some criticism back. I am in learning mode and I welcome all who will to be my teachers!

Have a beautiful day. May you know Aslan by his Earthly name, and be swallowed up into his heart for you.
