Fan universe: Harry Potter (I grew up with HP, having received the first novel for my 10th birthday), Star Trek (I don't read a lot of ST fanfiction, but I will read a good, believable Kirk/Spock fic if anyone has any to recommend), occasionally Twilight (in that I enjoy derailed Twilight canon, written far more believably - which generally means having Edward not act like a demented stalker and a good explanation why the vampires in Twilight are so different from those in mythology), Alice in Wonderland 2010 (this is a rather recent addition, in fact, I only saw the film for a second time last Sunday, but I am enjoying so very much right now that I can't believe I was so remiss in my duties as a serious fanfiction reader)

Pairings:
HP: Just about anything, as long as it's well written (slash is something I read when I'm in need of a bit of fuzzy sweetness, but I don't believe Harry Potter was meant to be gay - it's nowhere near his character, and I dislike OOC-ness), though I prefer Harry/Slytherin girl (the Slytherin girl mostly ends up as OC, but that doesn't matter to me - so long as it's someone who can get him to act more intelligently and with a lot more cunning than in the books);
ST: Kirk/Spock, McCoy/Chapel;
TW: The ones in the books are fine, with major, major rewrites (as for why nothing else: you can't get around the vampire mate problem without significant suspension of disbelief - very hard to pull off);
