Hi. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and have been since the books first arrived on our shelves - just goes to show how old I am ;) - and after many years of considering my own stories within the HP world, I've finally decided to bite the fizzing whizbee and start writing it.

I've always loved the character of Minerva McGonagall and was delighted when Maggie Smith was cast to play her in the films as she was always the kind of person I imagined McGonagall to be.

In my stories Minerva features a lot a long with a character of my own creation, Penny Johnston. If anyone is a fan of Charmed as well, they may notice some influences from that show, such as Penny's powers and her grandmother's name Penelope, whom Penny is named after; although the fact that Penny refers to her as Grams was more because that's what I call my own grandmother.

As the story only contains subtle references, I've not included it as a crossover, as I've not really used any of the characters, settings etc
