Author has written 2 stories for Chuck. Hello from (yet) another new author. So far the only two stories I have here are Chuck vs The Prequel and Chuck vs The One That Almost Got Away The purpose of the "vs The Prequel" is to provide possible answers and history to some unanswered questions that come up during, or shortly after, the pilot episode. In writing this, I am trying to give the story the same kind of feel and pace as the actual episodes, and am keeping everyone as in character as possible. Also, in what seems like real-show tradition, I am embedding various references throughout - a 'safari list' will be added on the last day for anyone who is interested. The one liberty I took was to give a new purpose to an existing character on the show. Here's a picture of the 'Charlene' character standing next to Casey. For "vs The One That Almost Got Away", the design is to more closely follow the style and form of an actual episode. The goal is to provide more dialog and action than "vs The Prequel", while adding some extra context and continuity between the DeLorean and Santa Claus episodes. Regarding the background music part for the last chapter, I was thinking of the song Celebration by The Eaves. I thought it had the kind of sound that might be used in the show. You can listen on their MySpace page or download the track on the record label's artist page. The music would've started at around the 3:05 mark with the lines: Agent Walker continued to sit in silence. "Well, if we don't get to work together again," Charlene said, "I want to wish you the best of luck." It continues with the song going from instrumental to where the lyrics start (3:25) after Sarah's said goodbye to Charlene & is looking thoughtfully across the conference table, switching over to Chuck laying on his bed. When the music reaches the 4:02 mark it returns to the original instrumental part from the 3:05 mark and plays until Chuck stops at the kitchen. And after rereading this explanation, I hope this makes some kind of sense. :) Finally, since this is only the third time since school I've attempted writing fiction, all reviews and feedback are certainly welcome. Hope you enjoy! - stasts |
