I am a British- born Canadian citizen with one son. I am divorced after a very long marriage. I love fantasy, science fiction, and crime shows, with a smattering of comedy. As my user name probably tells you, I am also a Discworld fanatic. I like quirky, smart, complicated characters - right now Dr. Rodney McKay from Stargate SG1/Stargate Atlantis/Stargate Universe is my clear favourite. Dean Winchester (Supernatural), Danny Williams (Hawaii 5-O), Jack O'Neill and Samantha Carter (Stargate SG1), Ziva, Abby and Tim (NCIS), James Kirk (Star Trek 2009), Peter Quill (Guardians of the Galaxy 2014) and the entire crew of Serenity (Firefly) are all characters that I enjoy watching and reading about.

I'm not really into slash or graphic sex, but have no objection to it if it is well written. Anything I write will probably only include canon, or near- canon pairings, it will be mostly angsty friendship kind of stuff. I like bromance, mostly Rodney/John, Tim/Tony/Gibbs, Danny/Steve, Kirk/Spock/Bones, and of course actual brothers Sam and Dean. I also think that Mal and Zoe from Firefly have one of the best bromances ever shown on the small screen, even though Zoe is not technically a 'bro'.
