When Damon and Enzo falls in the trap of a Siren, Sybil. Stefan and Caroline teamed up with Bonnie and Alaric to save them. But to save them, they first have to know Sybil's weakness. They planned get one of them free to get information about Sybil. Bonnie turned into a Vampire breaking the sleeping spell over Elena. Will Elena be able to save Damon from the Darkness.

Elena wakes up 65 years later in 2078. She finds herself alone and confused but later finds out that Bonnie didn't tell anyone that she was dying. The first to find out is Stefan who then goes straight to New York to get Elena. After awhile, slowly everyone finds out that Elena has awaken, but this story focuses on Damon and Elena's never dying love for each other and their future.

Post 8x07.. Elena wakes up with Bonnie still alive on Christmas Eve. Everything goes to hell when Damon and Sybil crash Care's party. But when Elena returns to Mystic Falls with an "old friend" how will Damon react and what will Sybil do about it? Can Elena save Damon? Or is he already too far gone?
