![]() Author has written 1 story for Hellsing. I am an Art major. I was a high school Creative Writing major. Future plans include being a published author/illustrator of a science fiction series and supporting science in whatever ways I can. I also want to work in the special effects field. My favorite things include fantasy, science, history, mythology, anime, medieval weaponry, archery, martial arts, music, art, reading, writing. Blue Seed and Saiyuki are my favorite animes next ten or twenty others If that gives you any idea of what I like to read about... Okay, okay. Pet peeves in fan fiction: I don't like it when characters are taken out of their original character. I can make a couple exceptions for stories that I like, but for the most part it drives me crazy. It just shows me how little you know about your subject matter when you do that and it makes me wonder if you've even read the whole book or watched the entire series or whatever. It's always been an issue with me. The anime Gundam Wing is one of the many animes that suffers from this. I believe it has been butchered on this site worse that any other anime. This is how I see the Gundam pilots, based on having seen the unedited series and Endless Waltz on DVD (and I read Episode Zero): Heero has a great sense of humor and a decent range of emotions, Trowa rarely shuts up (note extensive monoluges, the official description of him bothers me more than any other character's) until he loses his memory (at which point there isn't much he can say because he stays a bit out of it for quite a while), Duo is an intelligent and talkative smart-ass (but not a psychopath, a spaz, or an idiot), Quatre is probably gay but not openly so (I'll be brief: he is the only one who appears to be so; what's with all the yaoi fanfic?), and Wufei...plays mind games with himself...he doesn't know what he wants half the time (he does not speak of justice or injustice, or scream about it, at that...). And just because two men or two women spend a lot of time together does mean they love each other. They could be very good friends, you know? Or perhaps they enjoy working together. Not everything has to be about love. I do not like gushy romance. I do not like pointless foolishness. I am very picky with humor. If it is outright, slapstick humor, it better be creative and funny or I'm not laughing. I like sarcastic, dry, witty, and ironic humor. If you don't catch my attention right off the bat with your plot and brilliant use of language/engaging descriptions and dialogue, you have lost me. Robert J. Sawyer's "How to Write" should prove useful. He is also a major award-winning science fiction writer. Favorite websites include: |
