![]() Author has written 2 stories for Merlin, and Avengers. Btw - I've been absent from FF for a while and stopped updating my story. But I haven't abandoned it. My comp crashed and I lost all the work I'd done on the story, and as you can imagine, it was really disheartening and hard to go back and rewrite everything. I'm still working on it, so it might be a while yet. I'll do my best, though, and thanks for reading y'all :) In the meantime, I'm gonna post another story I've been working on over at Ao3 (same username if you're curious. Also, idk about you but I like Ao3's layout much, much better for my stories.) Thought I would share some of my favorite quotes, because if you're looking at my profile, I can only assume you enjoy the written word as I do. I know I love to find new quotes to write down. "Fiction gives us a second chance that life denies us." - Paul Theroux "Yo, que me figuraba el Paraíso bajo la especie de una biblioteca..." - Jorge Luis Borges "Use the right word, not its second cousin." - Mark Twain "When I'm really into a novel, I'm seeing the world differently during that time - not just for the hour or so in the day when I get to read. I'm actually walking around in a bit of a haze, spellbound by the book and looking at everything through a different prism." - Colin Firth "There are some things which can not be learned quickly and time, which is all we have, must be paid heavily for their acquiring." - Ernest Hemingway "We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories. Some take us forward, they're called dreams." - Jeremy Irons "Hay quienes no pueden imaginar un mundo sin pájaros; hay quienes no pueden imaginar un mundo sin agua. En lo que a mi me refiere, soy incapaz de imaginar un mundo sin libros." - Jorge Luis Borges "Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light; I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night." - Sarah Williams, "The Old Astronomer" "Even the wolf is entitled to plead in its own defense." - Plato "I think we risk becoming the best informed society that has ever died of ignorance." - Ruben Blades "Do unto others 20% better than you would expect them to do unto you, to correct for subjective error." - Linus Pauling "I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweat shops." - Stephen Jay Gould |
