After Bilbo is thrown out by Thorin (Chapter 17 from the book) he decides it is time to get rid of the ring. Not telling anyone where he was going and only leaving a note. A note with a confession to Thorin, saying that he has always loved him. Do to this confession, Thorin is able to come out of his gold sickness, but he has to live with the things he lost. For now, that is.

Bilbo discovers that dwarven ideas of propriety are very different from a hobbit's, and so tells an inappropriate story that ends in a strange request from Kili, who wants the opportunity to be with someone physically before he reaches Erebor. He realizes greater feelings for Bilbo that cause him to attempt to court the hobbit, who is confused by it all but willing to try for love.

The line of Durin's folk was broken, but ancient tales hint that death may not be as permanent as it seems. The real reason that Bilbo had left his warm and cozy Hobbit hole was written not on the contract that he carried with him, but on the formerly blank skin of his left forearm. AU. Newly wed to Thorin, Bilbo's honeymoon bliss is shattered by the awareness that he will never be able to bear Thorin an heir. Reconnecting with his past and receiving Thorin's tactful reassurances helps him understand that, sometimes, love is enough. Warning: may contain acorns.

There is an old Durin's Day tradition that requires the dwarves to gather all their courage: eating Grandma Durin's fruitcake. Neither Thorin nor any of the other dwarves have ever met anybody who didn't want to run as far as possible at the prospect of having to eat Durin berry fruitcake.

After Bilbo falls from his pony, Thorin insists on the hobbit riding with him. Bilbo, of course, is very annoyed by something prodding him in the back as they ride. When he mentions that Thorin's belt buckle was annoying him to Fili and Kili, the boys, of course, laugh. Thus starts a journey of trying to discover what is so funny about belt buckles, along with a journey to love.

Fili and Kili stood stiller than stone, their eyes fixed on the bottom of the not-so-shallow lake and Thorin's glinting sword that lay at the bottom of it. Fili's mind replayed the scenario that had just taken place, wishing that he had moved to catch the sword sooner. Kili's thoughts were fixed on the future and the amount of trouble that he was about to be in. (I own nothing.)

This is a modern romantic AU where Bilbo owns a flower shop and Thorin is an attorney. Their paths cross when Thorin needs a birthday gift for Dis. He's late, of course, and has no idea what to give her. Bilbo steps in to help him out and an attraction and a story is born.

Everybody knows who Bilbo Baggins is...right? Consort of King Thorin, member of the Company? (aka not someone to try to take to bed?) Apparently not. As a biker sees the mess called Kili on the floor something might change. (mostly Kili POV, rated M for a reason. They aren't siblings, so not really incest, but still sex and plot)

Bilbo has begun to seriously intrigue Thorin, after the Orc Incident, but obviously he can't admit that, being a Dwarven King, even if one without a mountain. Instead, he goes on in silence until Fili and Kili, being his loving and darling nephews, decide to help him out by pretending to court Bilbo themselves.

After the Battle of Five where everyone survived - Thorin admits he was an ass and Bilbo admits he was a little hasty and they are both stupid, and they will stay together now thank you. Cue in couple years later when Thorin is ruling Erebor and Bilbo is his mate - esteemed and respected, and he rather likes his life now. Until some stupid accident renders Bilbo unconscious.

Bilbo Baggins is quite content to live out his uneventful life in the suburbs of the largest and most technologically prosperous cities in Middle Earth. He has his garden, his books, his telly... Then one day an associate from his mother's illicit past shows up, and everything goes cheerfully to hell in a handbasket.

In an attempt to make Thorin admit his feelings, Bilbo heads out alone to travel to Rivendell. After six days of journeying, the hobbit runs into Gandalf and finds his emotions fragile in front of the wizard. Will Thorin miss Bilbo enough to stop him? Epilogue added!

When Thorin scouts the area he is considering using for the meeting in six months time, he doesn't expect to find armed enemies awaiting him. Luckily for him, Bilbo Baggins has a big heart. Bagginshield.

AU - New York City, 1880, the Gilded Age. Fili Durin is a wealthy, sheltered young railroad heir fresh out of college. He comes across a young prostitute named Kili and is instantly smitten with the boy. But Kili's trust is not easily given and Fili's uncle and guardian disapproves of his choice of lover. Rated M for sex, violence and past mentions of child abuse and rape.

Bilbo doesn't realize he's Touch Starved until Thorin hugs him atop the Carrock. Now he's suffering through a Hobbit's worst nightmare and he's yearning to be touched. AU where Bilbo is a Torch Singer in the Roaring Twenties who finally catches a break and is hired in the Erebor speak easy, working for Boss Thrain Durin and his son, Thorin. But there might be trouble on the horizon, if Boss Smaug has anything to say about it.

Hobbits have a special Defense Mechanism known as being Hollow. Now Bilbo is suffering being Hollow and not even Gandalf knows what to do. Can Thorin cure him?

Bilbo had taken some pride when Thorin had stated he was surprised the hobbit was so well endowed. He joked saying, "Well you know what they say about people with big feet," which had earned a small laugh from Thorin. Bilbo's pride quickly diminished the moment he saw exactly how large Thorin was.

In which Bilbo is ready for another bout, but is sore from the previous round. So Thorin decides to be as gentle as possible.

Part 7 of the "Quite, Quite Scandalous" series. If Mahal is watching them, he's surely laughing his beard off. Especially if He is testing Thorin. If that's His aim, then the halfling was a very good choice indeed.

Courting one's Beloved is a difficult process at the best of times, with complex customs to remember. For Thorin Oakenshield, it's a whole lot more complicated than that. Firstly, his Beloved is a hobbit who has absolutely no idea that he even is Thorin's Beloved. Secondly, Thorin may or may not be completely invisible to said hobbit. Mahal has ever laughed upon the Line of Durin.

A year after The Battle of Five Armies, Bilbo decides it is time for him to return to the Shire. Part 6 of the "Quite, Quite Scandalous" series. Of all the things to die of on this quest, high blood pressure is not Thorin's preferred method of kicking the bucket.
