I love mythology! Inari is one of the coolest Japanese gods, because he/she was both of Shinto and Buhddism (sp?). In Shinto, she was a goddess with long flowing hair. In Buhddism, HE was an old man that's seven feet tall. _ I prefer the Shinto, because it's easier to spell and I'm a girl. Inari's messagers were foxes (Kitsune) and his/her temple was said to be served by them, a male and a female, both white. And she could appear as a fox as well!
